Here is a video, from Destination Truth, showing a possible LIGHTBEING attacking a crew member. I find this to be VERY interesting:

I wonder if things like this are set up for shows like this. There really isn't away to tell. But I remember when MTV had a show like this or maybe it was another channel called Fear, where they would set stuff up to freak the people out.

i think you are thinking of scare tactics. still on the syfy now. hosted by that annoying guy from SNL who perpetuates a negative stereotype...tracey something or other...

No, it isn't scare tactics on syfy, it was called fear. I don't like Wiki, but it will do for this purpose. MTV Fear

I'm not sure about the video though. Maybe real maybe not there really isn't anything but a quick scene of what supposedly happened really wasn't long enough to make out.

We watched this episode od destination truth, the video is amazing, the guy was thrown a long distance and in there reviewing the tapes you can see it looks like a dusty figure slamming into him.

The man said he could feel the wind come straight down in front of him, Amazing thing is the amount of wind needed to throw a person that far would be significant, but yet there was no dust/grass flying around prior to this.

They also had sightings of strange lights in the woods around them, but no logical explanation as to what it was.

there is no way he could have stood or jumped in that fashion from sitting cross legged, and produce the amount of dust he did, Scary thing is the scratches he had and him saying he heard groweling and voices prior to it happening.

This show is nothing like the scare tactics. Josh Gates really has an amazing job, that some people would call a dream job.
He travels all over the world, some are very remote, to investigate mysteries, ghosts and cryptozoological sightings.
The only one thats really turned into a mystery, supposedly, is the investigation into the Yeti, where he found some hair in a "nest" that had some very interesting DNA results.

I saw that episode mentioned in the OP when it first aired, then I saw it in re-runs. Werent they in some woods in a random European Country, like Romania or some place like that?
I have to say that I dont know what to say about it lol. Near the end of the episode, they took the footage to those "pros" over at TAPS who gave their personal opinion that he was definitely attacked by some kind of being that caused some semi-deep scratches on the arm that was pulled up first.
The claws that caused these scratches were apparently able to "phase" through his heavy jacket and shirt sleeve, causing no damage to either one and only affected his arm.

For the record, I really like Destination Truth, Josh Gates is hilarious and it should be noted that he has Majors in DRAMA
and archeology.
Very odd combination for college majors but his Drama major really shows in Destination Truth lol.

There are at least three different occasions, that I know of, where a crew member had some type of interaction with "something"

You should watch the episode where they are at some Island along a river in Mexico. People come to this island, from all around different villages to place Dolls there.
It was very strange and also very creepy

Yes it was in Romania, Also what about the roof flying off that 1930's looking airplane they were in? that would have been enough to make me go home.

No big deal. I think it is also interesting that one of the guys has a Drama degree. I'm not writing this off as fake, but I didn't see the episode and there video doesn't show that much for me to come to a conclusion.

In that episode they were flying in an OLD airplane trying to find the Barren circle in the forest. half way there the roof flew off the cockpit of the airplane. was scary as all get out. really is one of the best episodes that they have had in a while.
here is a quote from the destination truth website describing it.

Allegedly, the most haunted area of the woods is known as "The Circle", which is a completely barren space that looks very similar to a crop circle. Before the investigation, Josh and the crew decide to fly over the forest to get a better view. Mistake number one. Mid-flight, the town's only plane, which Josh affectionately calls, "an oldie but a goodie" loses it's roof and the team is barely able to make an emergency landing. Plan B anyone?

Wow, lmao.. I cant believe i missed that part, both times or i just dont remember lol
I switch channels a lot during commercials, especially if theres something on another channel, like History or Natgeo that I really want to watch at the same time. Most of the time, the damn commercial breaks arent synched up and Ill come back to one or the other show too late lol.

I recall one episode, i think they were in Peru investigating some mines near the Nazca lines.
They got into a plane that barely started, then the pilot almost took off without his glasses on.
Then the scene cut to Josh walking away from the plane stating "its very rare that i refuse to fly"

I'm a big fan of Destination Truth. I especially love the Josh Gates' opening monologue: "I've seen some unexplainable things, and I've done some things I can't explain." It really is an interesting show, and he is hilarious.

In case you're interested, there is a website called "extreme ghost hunting" that has reruns of a lot of paranormal shows. Destination Truth is one of their shows they host. It's a membership site, you have to pay to get full access, but there are a lot of episodes for free.
