(EDIT) Apparently I have to add this before any of you read the following thread I've made. I DID NOT MAKE THIS LIST, I ONLY FOUND IT. There. It's all in caps. You can't miss it.

I came across this list while searching for alien abductions. I have always believed that I have been visited and abducted by aliens and most of the list's claims of proof of abduction fit for me. I counted 38. That's more than half. That's either a major coincidence or.... well I don't know. Anyway, I don't know if this list is very accurate, but it seems to be. Well, here's the list.

1) Have had unexplainable missing or lost time of one hour or more.
2) Have been paralyzed in bed with a being in your room.
3) Have unusual scars or marks with no possible explanation on how you received them (small scoop indentation, straight line scar, triangular marks, scars in roof of mouth, in nose, behind or in ears, etc.)
4)Have seen balls of light or flashes of light in your home or other locations
5)Have a memory of flying through the air which could not be a dream, or many dreams involving flying.
6)Have a strong "marker memory" that will not go away (i.e.: an alien face, an examination, a needle, a table, a strange skinny baby, etc.)
7)Have seen beams of light outside your home, or come into your room through a window.
8)Have had many dreams of UFOs, beams of light, or alien beings.
9)Have had a shocking UFO sighting or multiple sightings in your life.
10) Have a cosmic awareness, an interest in ecology, environment, vegetarianism, or are very socially conscious.
11) Have a strong sense of having a mission or important task to perform, sometime, without knowing where this compulsion is coming from.
12) Have a secret feeling that you are "special" or "chosen," somehow.
13) Have had unexplainable events occur in your life, and felt strangely anxious afterwards.
14) Have had several strange psychic experiences - such as knowing that something is going to happen before it happens.
15) For women only: Have had false pregnancy or missing fetus. (pregnant, and then not)
16) Have awoken in another place than where you went to sleep, or don't remember ever going to sleep. (i.e. waking up with your head at the foot of your bed, or in your car)
17) Have had a dream of eyes such as animal eyes (like an owl or deer), or remember seeing an animal looking in at you. Also if you have a fear of eyes.
18) Have awoken in the middle of the night startled.
19) Have strong reaction to cover of Communion or pictures of aliens. Either an aversion to or being drawn to.
20) Have inexplicably strong fears or phobias. (i.e. heights, snakes, spiders, large insects, certain sounds, bright lights, your personal security or being alone).
21) Have experienced self-esteem problem much of your life.
22) Have seen someone with you become paralyzed, motionless, or frozen in time, especially someone you sleep with.
23) Have a memory of having a special place with spiritual significance, when you were a youngster.
24) Have had someone in your life who claims to have witnessed a ship or alien near you or has witnessed you having been missing.
25) Have had, at any time, blood or strangel stain on sheet or pillow, with no explanation of how it got there.
26) Have an interest in the subject of UFO sightings or aliens, perhaps compelled to read about it a lot.
27) Have an extreme aversion towards the subject of UFO's or aliens - don't want to talk about it.
28) Have been suddenly compelled to drive or walk to an out of the way or unknown area.
29) Have the feeling of being watched much of the time, especially at night.
30) Have had dreams of passing through a closed window or solid wall.
31) Have seen a strange fog or haze that should not be there.
32) Have heard strange humming or pulsing sounds, and you could not identify the source.
33) Have had unusual nose bleeds at any time in your life. Or have awoken with a nose bleed.
34) Have awoken with soreness in your genitals which can not be explained.
35) Have had back or neck problems, T-3 vertebrae out often, or awoken with an unusual stiffness in any part of the body.
36) Have had chronic sinusitis or nasal problems.
37)Have had electronics around you go haywire or oddly malfunction with no explanation (such as street lights going out as you walk under them, TV's and radios affected as you move close, etc.).

57) Have tried to resolve these types of problems with little or no success.
58) Have many of these traits but can't remember anything about an abduction or alien encounter.

I'd like to add numbers 59 + 60.

59) Are a seriously deluded individual who craves attention and is willing to fabricate stories to garner it.

60) Are an idiot.

Not saying folk haven't been taken away or examined - just saying that most that post they have are mental and most likely lying.

I have seen a similar list years ago in my researches. The one I saw only had 20 questions, i think.

Yeah, this is a weird list, cause I never ever thought I had been abducted. I am on the fence about visitations in the sky (havent seen THAT video yet, you know the one that seals the deal) , but I have counted 35. And some of the questions, if worded slightly differently would make the count higher.

Weird.

edit to say that i still dont think i have been abducted. Life is a funny thing. Our minds are funny things. Both powerful and weak.

That is an extremely ignorant comment. I didn't post it to boast anything. Just because you have had NO experiences in your lifetime (and you obviously haven't based on what you said) doesn't mean none of this is true or people who claim these things are mental and should get checked out. I really wanted to see what people thought of this list and if it coincides with people's experiences. I didn't make up the list. I'm just passing it on.

Interesting list of some major, well agreed upon signs of possible abduction, thanks for sharing. Luckily I don't think I meet any of those, or enough where I would be worried. Some of the signs on the list I think might not necessarily mean anything however, such as reading a lot about UFOs/aliens, as well numbers 10,11, and 12 IMHO. There definitely is something to some of the abduction phenomena in my opinion however. While I believe that about 90% of reported abductions are mundane I think there is just too much strange unknowns and too many people claiming being abducted for the rest to assume it is all hoaxes, night terrors, etc.

PS: Can you provide a source for the list?

I first saw it on the first website, but the words were too large and spaced out for a copy paste so I found another website that held the same info. Here are both.

www.abduct-anon.com...

www.alien-ufos.com...

As a matter of fact if you google it you can find this same list on a number of websites. I didn't find it here on ATS so I thought I would share it. But yes, some of the things on the list seem kind of "iffy" but I feel it is still an interesting list to say the least.

I'm not against you whatsoever and thank you for your addition here. I just think that, as adults, we should question whether or not someone's claim is valid in the easiest sense possible upfront and foremost.

If after that it holds true, or at least claims to, then proper investigation is warranted and I'd be at the front line helping detect and scrutinise it.

One of these statements you copy-pasta'd says:

"38) Have seen a hooded figure in or near your home, especially next to your bed"

Not sure if you've noticed, but there are lots of kids that wear hooded tops these days. Would you statement be different in the past, say 1950's? "Watch out for men with quiffs" Or "Watch out for Negroid queers!"

I take it personally when people claim to know things. My children have to share this world with you. This makes ridiculous claims something I have to fight against. If my kid ends up in Heavens Gate or some other cult then I blame those who lie, those who allow those lies and those who propagate those lies. But before that I blame myself for not correcting it sooner.

If none of this works for you then "I know because my alien overlords told me" should fit into that suspension of belief gap quite nicely.

-m0r

Please people - before shooting me down as a racist or homophobe realise I'm not the one pointing figures at kids saying they're aliens and I'm only using that example as a way of showing how silly that one particular statement is. I'll happily be as controversial with the other 57 if need be.

11) Have a strong sense of having a mission or important task to perform, sometime, without knowing where this compulsion is coming from.

Can I just point out that these two, and several more similar to them, are just ridiculous? Are we suggesting that the natural state of man, outside of alien influence, is that of a destructive force against nature and the lack of will to perform important tasks or missions?

Are you implying that I'm some type of ufo cultist? I'm not spreading any of this as truth as I said in my last post to you. If my title has mislead you to believe that then as an adult you should go back a read what I said instead of saying that I'm trying to lure your children to joining a cult.
How did you get any of that out of this thread?

I highly doubt that, but it seems at this point you are trying to say anything to get your ignorant point across. (Whatever that may be.)
Number 38 may not be very accurate but you can't disregard the entire list just because one of them doesn't fit. Again, I didn't make the list. I just happened to come across it and thought it was interesting.

57 out of 58 discribes me down to a tee.Do i worry about it anymore.No.You cannot change the past.Does it still affect me.Yes.Knowing that they will always be coming back and i cannot do nothing to stop them. You get use to it over time.Well some people i believe do.Just go with the flow and accept it as it comes.Would i say the negitive aspects outway the positive aspects.60/40.

A destructive force against nature? Well as our history on earth has proved anything, well yes. Outside of alien influence, maybe not so much. But that could be argued I guess. But I agree, 11 might not be very accurate either.

i swear you just described a night of hard partying i had back in 06, I think waking up in the woods missing 1 shoe should be #59. ... i enjoy the ufo phenom but i have trouble with this aspect of it... i dont know why, maybe its sooooo unbelievable. If it is real though i hope it never happens to me..

I got 23 of those points

But honestly I wouldnt count this list as accurate by any measures. I mean of those questions are just ridiculous. How does dreaming of disasters, medical procedures etc, an interest in UFOology, having a reaction to the cover of communion, even register as an indicator to alien abduction?

That's pretty funny. Trust me, its real. But it is scary I guess seeing as how they take you unwillingly. But I guess it all depends on if you are taken by either benevolent or malevolent ETs.

My dear The_Truth818 I am sorry if you thought I was implying anything about your character and will happily state for the record that my comments were only upon the list provided and the provision of said list. If you felt that I was associating you personally with a cult or movement of people with particular beliefs then I wish to remedy that immediately. I was referring to the nature of some people who, rather than seek a uncomfortable harsh reality, belief wholeheartedly in a prescribed paranormal fantasy and perpetuate it to others amongst a throng of ne'er-do-wells who seek to fiscally benefit from that community.

As it is; the reality of the situation has it that these people must share this universe with my children and as such I cannot let them spread their fallacies lest it become the undoing of every previous generation of my forefathers.

In short, me and everyone from that first camp fire are telling these fibbers to clamp it.

At least that's how I see it.

Again I thank you for the list. I only wished to add to it not discount it. But since we have entered into a dialogue regarding its specifics let me point out a potential falsehood (of which I feel there are many):

26) Have an interest in the subject of UFO sightings or aliens, perhaps compelled to read about it a lot.
27) Have an extreme aversion towards the subject of UFO's or aliens - don't want to talk about it.

The above 2 indications are contradictory. Now I am sure that everyone who believes they have been abducted will have their own unique perspective in dealing with it. However if these 'signs' are to believed then continuity is paramount lest we just let every potential sign in. Either the signs are correct and this is how it is or the signs aren't correct and don't stand up to reason.

I personally believe that most people who claim to have been abducted are saying so for the attention and my having a critical thinking mind means I must question their credibility. Doing so eats up a lot of time and detracts me from more worthwhile studies. It detracts me from making the world a better place. It sullies the universe my children share with those who look to waste it.

I hope between us we can understand my position here. No liars around my kids means attacking everyone who lies.

Those who are still standing due to their beliefs from experience are the ones I want to learn from. They have something to share.

I hope this finds you well.

1: Dozing Off
2: Narcolepsy
3: Sleep related injuries, scratching etc.
4: car headlighs reflecting through windows.
5: Yes they are dreams.
6: Reliving Dreams.
7: Cars again
8: Just Dreams by people with vivid imaginations.
9 - 49: Same stuff
50: LOL...yeah it is called being a male.
51-58: same old stuff again.

You know every sign you mentioned can easily be explained away by natural phenomenon + imagination and medical conditions (Paranoia, Acute anxiety, sleep deprivation etc)

Why do some insist on the most unreasonable answers instead of the answers right in front of them?

Ok, sorry if that got out of hand for a little bit there. I have had experiences myself and kind of take it to heart when people try and say this phenomenon doesn't exist. I agree with you 100% when you say some people do it for attention. But the only people I believe that do that for those reasons are people who make those false claims to the media. I understand your position on the matter. But you must understand if you want to get to the truth you must weed out the lies. But the only way to do that is to have an open mind and not be biased on the matter. You can't automatically say this list is garbage just because it doesn't make sense to you specifically. I posted the list here on ATS to see if anyone who has had experiences with ETs could either prove or disprove this list.
