what kind of Artificial Intelligence are you talking about like computer bases, nano, bio, or startgate type?

the first 3 don't offer NEARLY the amount of computing power needed. Even microprocessors are not really powerful enough.

Probably on fiber-optics and "light computing" would have enough power

its not the power that you're looking for past microprocessors really, since thats putting all your eggs in one basket. .

what you're looking fo ris massive parallelism.. don't need one big chip when you can use a bunch of medium sized chips and split up the work. that's the way its done currently and it works much better.
