UFO investigations unit closed by Ministry of Defence

The officer handling reports has moved to another post, saving £44,000 a year.

The MoD said the unit had received thousands of reports, although none had yielded proof of aliens or any security threat to the UK.

In a statement, the MoD said it had "no opinion on the existence or otherwise of extra-terrestrial life".

To be honest, I am surprised to hear this even existed. On top of that, does the final statement not clash with all the recent reports being leaked by former UK airmen of very high-profile UFO cases investigated by the Air Force?

Strange, strange indeed. Personally, ignoring the UFO aspect, I view it as just another item on a growing list of how as a race we are turning inwards and downwards as our society declines.
