Type rapture into the search bar. There you'll more than likely find that the rapture is apparantly coming every week or so, depending on what the latest calculation from the bible says once the other one's havent panned out.

Edit - I dont actually think we've had any recent predictions for the rapture, so I'll make a prediction... its coming in 30 mins, get your suitcase packed & dont forget a toothbrush!

Bluebelle, doesn't the Bible say when Israel is created - 1948 - then
that will be the last generation?
If a generation = about 64 years, then December 21, 2012 would fit?
I think it will just be a new beginning. Nobody is going anywhere but
there will be a "divine intervention" moment in history.

It's no wonder there are so many people watching for it,if they think they are going to be taken away BEFORE tribulation comes to pass.

We're seeing signs being fulfilled every day that the end really is "nigh".

We are also told of what must happen first. If people really studied the scriptures, they'd know history before it happens! (It's pretty cool, really!)

It's a sad hoax on believers to fall for the idea of the Rapture. It sounds so good is why!

I know. I have tried to tell my family, but they just get mad and make comment like "You think you know the bible better than I do? I worry for them.

Is the rapture coming?

The idea of the 'rapture' is that Christ will return and rapture up all His good followers prior to the bad times that are to follow. But as far as I can find, there is no specific, Biblical referral to this event. In fact, certain passages suggest that we will all more likely see a little hell on Earth before anyone is evacuated anywhere.

But, none of this is to say that these folks are wrong either. This is the basic notion I was raised to believe so... my personal opinion would be that something along these basic lines could occur just as easily as some UFO shoplifting a cow out of Montana.

It's a crazy world and a far more dynamic universe than we have yet even begun to consider.

The question is the rapture going to happen? And please tell me any possible theory why the rapture idea came if you say it's fake.

The pre-tribulation rapture doctrine...
...had its origin in the 'visions' of Margaret MacDonald...
...John Nelson Darby believed it was a demonic utterance...
...but soon after developed the doctrine from obscure scriptural references that he made fit...
...a process sometimes described as 'cookie-cutter' theology (Atheists do this a lot too).

It has since been a corner-stone of the Dispensationists platform...
...but it really has no biblical basis.

I suspect it may be fulfilled by some UFO abduction schenario some time soon.

An interesting coincidence to me is that Revelation 20:12 says,"And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books."

(That's Judgement Day!)

It may turn out to be more than "coincidence"!

Well the other bible prophecies want to get a move on then! I believe we're still waiting on the nile to dry up and some mass expansion of the jewish population...

Also.. about 64 years? Hows that? I was under the impression that the average life span of people around the time the bible was put together was about 25/30 years.

UFO abduction,or Homeland Security abduction?

"Why Are Modern Gillotines on Military Bases in America?"
(Remember the part of scriptures about believers being beheaded for their testimony?!)

(This should appeal to "Christian-bashers"!)

Psalms 90:10
"The years of our lives are 70; and if by reason of strength they be 80 years, yet most of them are labor and sorrow; for life is soon cut off and we fly away."

As for the fact it may come sooner?

"If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened." Mathew 24:22

There's our calendar, and the Jewish calendar. I believe that puts the dates between 2016 or 2018,depending?(From 1948)

The rapture is always coming. If you asked a fundamentalist Christian anytime in the past two thousand years, it's always right around corner, and it always will be

Well at least i'm trying.
I'm desperate for a solution.
I know the world won't tear itself apart like in the movie 2012.
Have you seen it?
God loves us too much to put us through a disaster like that.

This was even written about in the New York Times,July 13,2009.

"The shrinking of the Euphrates, a river so crucial to the birth of civilization that the Book of Revelation prophesied its drying up as a sign of the end times, has decimated farms along its banks, has left fishermen impoverished and has depleted riverside towns as farmers flee to the cities looking for work."

One-World Government,as predicted in Revelation 13:1-10?

Just look at the news!

And there's plenty more! Instead of laughing about "those silly Christians",you might want to see what the scriptures have to say.

They are correct 100% of the time. Look at this page:

The rapture is a Jesuit creation? Hmm, I didn't know that. Is that a fact, or your theory?

As I understand it,the Nephalim were some pretty unpleasant creatures also!

The Bible also says the last days would be like those in the days of Noah.

One of the things taking place that illustrates that can be read about here:

defenderpublishing.blogspot.com...
Tom Horn writes,"...Imagine what this could mean if government laboratories with unlimited budgets working beyond congressional review were to decode the gene functions that lead animals to have preternatural capabilities of sense, smell, and sight, and then blended them with Homo sapiens. Among other things, the ultimate psychotronic weapon could be created for use against entire populations—genetically engineered ‘Nephilim agents’ that appear to be human but who hypothetically see and even interact with invisible forces."

Things clearly being done in ways God never intended, which was what created the Nephalim, when fallen angels bred with earthly women. Genesis 6:4
