stating that even though the U.S. army is mighty, the Iraq situation has shown that it is not all powerful and conquering.
I don't think you can use the Iraq war as a reference to what the US army can actualy do in an all out war.
The US is having trouble in Iraq because the whole world is watching, and because they say they are there to bring peace.
The US already has lost a whole lot of international support and friends and therefor has to be very cautious in their actions in Iraq.
Whats also a problem is that the US declared the war to be over in Iraq loooong time ago.
If the problems there were caused by an actual attack by Iraq on another nation, and the US actualy had an army opposing them, and/or the war in iraq
wasn't declared over yet, the US would be able to fight alot more fierce.
Now they are just stuck with having to be very cautious and having an opponent thats totaly not military, but urban.
Urban warfare is something armies always have problems with, just look at the world wide problems small guerillia groups can cause, even when its
them, with a few hundred, against a country's whole military force.
