Dave Grohl: 'Above Top Secret' Inspired the Foo Fighters' Name

www.disinfo.com

Check out this clip from On The Record With Fuse where Dave Grohl cites the Disinformation-published Above Top Secret as an inspiration for coming up with his band’s name.

Thread already here.

It has nothing to do with this site or Jim Marrs' book but 1987 book by that name. Foo Fighters debuted in 1994. C'mon. Trying to start rumors now?

It is cool. In all fairness since the band Foo Fighters has been around a lot longer than the Jim Marrs book, I'm pretty sure he meant the book Above Top Secret by Timothy Good which has been around since 89 and is specifically about UFOs or as the WWII pilots called them, Foo Fighters.

Apparently whoever put the clip together Googled up Above Top Secret and yanked the first book entry.

I'm pretty sure he is talking about Above Top Secret by Timothy Good.

www.amazon.com...

He isn't talking about Jim Marrs' book.

Foo Fighters started in 1995, and I don't think the ATS forum was even around back then. Also, Jim Marrs book was released 2008.....

So, the OP and the video in the OP is wrong and misleading.

-edit-

Looks like we all cross posted the same info.
You all beat me to it.

I just noticed the OP's name is "Disinformation"...

I guess he lives up to his name.

You know, fact checking and a small amount of research goes a long way. As is reiterated often on this site, "time is an illusion".

Regardless of the obvious mixup with books, The Colour and the Shape is one of the greatest albums of all-time IMO.

Peace

Thanks, we thought Dave must have made a mistake and was referring to Jim's earlier book Alien Agenda (not sure of Foo Fighters are in that?), but obviously we're happy that the FUSE TV producers just screwed up and showed the Jim Marrs "Above Top Secret" - good promo for the book even if it was a mistake!
