Amazing pictures... Below are 3 of 8 in total. Go to source to see the rest of the article along with other pictures.

Source: CNET News

The gossamer structure is meant to be a physical manifestation of the digital cloud. And it would, in fact, be a digital cloud that collects and broadcasts real-time data related to ongoing Olympic events, worldwide news and weather info, and practical city info for visitors.

The Cloud's "bubbles" are inflatable, transparent, three-dimensional screens laced with LEDs.

From within the main tower, visitors would have a closer look at the bubbles broadcasting ongoing events in real time. They could also look down on the city and the Olympic events taking place in buildings below.

Wasn't there something mentioned in a 'Disclosure' thread about images appearing in the sky's?

looks more like bubbles than clouds.

That is pretty cool, although could get pretty distracting especially for drivers. Bad enough they text and drive, let alone trying to read a cloud while trying to get a cellphone picture of it.

how fitting... we all can pretend we are gods of Olympus

but if all the olympic ticket holders can read or even see videos in the sky 'for free'
Won't the 4-G providers lose revenue, as their customers will not need nor use their cell-phone devices while in the Olympic stadium and other venues ?

good idea, good tech achievement, but lots of negotiations will be needed first.

seems like a massive waste of tax payers money. it's not like we don't have enough bloody clouds anyway. surely the money would be better improving some schools and hospitals in the deprived east end of London, rather than this exercise in futility

How will they stop them floating away?!? If they tie them down, the glamour will be lost a bit don't you think? Also people blatantly going to untie/cut them. Are they releasing them for them to float at cloud height? Because these things will have to be huge!

Agreed, total waste of money. Then again, they have to say they spent it on something.

Cool tech all the same.

As for bluebeam, that was about holographic images being projected onto the sky. These bubbles aren't holographic, just spheric TV's really.

this brings new meaning to the subject "cloud computing". lol.

But does anybody think this is just a little idealistic/futuristic to see in less than 3 years? I mean, flexible LED's aren't even commercialized yet! This seems a little far off...

just because it isnt commercialized, doesnt mean it hasnt been around for 10 or so years, take the military for instance.

And when the Olympics is over.....we will be shown one of these bubbles popping from behind the sun (designed to look that way), and then we all get in a panic about the end of the world coming in about 6 months after.
The governments of the world let us all go into a meltdown, then they say we are doing our best to find a solution. From the over side of the world more bubbles appear with alien visitation beings come to save us. Within weeks we are saved by the aliens.....Disclosure is made and religion dies.................
Nibiru is real.....Or is it.

There is a lot of high weirdness surrounding these 2012 London games. The huge fire that caused a dirty great cloud to cover london . The attack on london (false flag or not? ) the day after we became offical Olympic host. The famous Nostradamas passage about the games of slaughter. The fact it is built on a Roman cemetery.

If they stick floating bubble TV screens in the sky .I might just throw up !
