Five British Sailors Detained By Iran

Five British sailors on a racing yacht have been detained by Iran after they may have inadvertently strayed into its waters.

The vessel, owned by Sail Bahrain and crewed by the British nationals, was stopped by Iranian naval vessels last Wednesday, said the Foreign Office.

All five are still in Iran and they are understood to be safe and well. One of the Britons is believed to be Dave Bloomer, a DJ for Bahrain radio.

With all the tension going on with Irans nuclear programme, this will make things very interesting... will Iran release the sailors, or use them as pawns to negotiate with the west...

One thing is for sure.. war can't be far away! Iran has just recently said they are going ahead with an extra 10 enrichment facilities, and Israel said that if diplomacy hadn't worked by christmas time in halting the nuclear ambitions, then they would be forced to strike...

All I can say is you better get used to expensive gas at the pumps.
