Fundamentally Christianity and modern day Satanism are the same because they both follow identical 'golden rule' moral dictum's i.e. "An eye for an eye" and "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." What then separates these two ideologies? Christianity wants to control human nature whereas Satanism wants to embrace it. The extremes of which are materialized into different ideologies and/or denominations. What most people recognize as Satanism today was formulated by Anton LaVey in 1966, and which simply put, personifies the will as God, and what's in your pants as Satan. This particular branch to me is a joke. True Satanism would worship genocide, rape, cannibalism, torture, and so on. LaVeyan Satanists are just Capitalists playing dress up.

I agree.. I don't even consider them satanists, they're basically just atheists "rebelling" against religion.

This thread is not about LaVey satanism right?

I want to hear what the genuine devil worshippers(?) views are.

And I quote:

1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence!
4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates!
5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek!
8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!

All to do with selfishness (ego-pandering) instead of selflessness. That does not say greed to you..?

Again, that's just one kind of Satanist. It doesn't apply across the board.

I will look into this ... never actually thought there are real differences between satanists. All christian denominations are almost the same they all see God the same, mostly worshiping is different.

I'll look you up when i have some pertinent questions.

Awesome!
I look forward to it.

True Satanism would worship those things?
But all those things are rampant in the Old Testament, and cannibalism is all over the New Testament.

It's incorrect to assume that "true" Satanism would worship those dreadful things. Even if I stay within the mythos of this thread, which I will do out of respect to the OP, what gives you the idea, scripturally, that Satan was guilty of any of those things?

The people I met ( granted they are under 27 ) think themselves to be Satanists in the hate God, be evil ... sort of way. It's true they use this an an excuse to stand out, don't really do anything special, magic etc.

I understand the idea of not agreeing with god, jesus the bible etc. but they switched some stupid rituals for others just as stupid.

I accept the idea of a sort of god ( when you believe in something, the simple act of believing makes it real ) but i hate the idea that someone can say he is closer to god than you (priests, imans, etc)

I was hoping to find someone who worships Satan the person not the idea of Satan.

I don't like those hate god, be evil Satanists. To me, they are heretical in that they portray the wrong idea of the Serpent. Their idea of Satan is so off the mark and based only on popular culture.

Still, I would be interested to hear answers to your questions from someone like that. They could equally think that my brand of Satanism is off the mark.

Satan as seen through the eyes of Christian theology is the embodiment of evil. What is evil? That which is immoral. I know, so then what is immoral? That depends on the times you live in. We are currently living in the 21st century. Would you agree or disagree that genocide, rape, cannibalism, and torture are immoral?

I agree that they are immoral, and I understand that you are referencing the viewpoint of Christian theology. What I am saying is that all of these things have been committed in the name of the god of Abraham. So, my question is, why would one attribute them solely to Satan, even through a Christian perspective?

I doubt it. Your soul contains all the knowledge you have gained during your many lifetimes. Knowledge is what Dark entities crave, because knowledge is power. Satan would never destroy a source of knowledge, just like a junkie wouldn't destroy a hit of heroin.

What for bulls... what for knowledge can you give satan you stupid worm. He gave all knowledge to humans.
