Argentina - Giant UFO Causes Huge Commotion 11/26/09

Reports from Argentina are claiming 7,500 people witnessed a cigar shaped UFO on thursday 12/26/09 which supposedly caused electrical outages and phone line troubles. i have not found any pictures or video yet but i will keep looking.

The entire town – or at least those who were awake at 0200 yesterday – agree that it was hot, an unbearable heat that kept people from getting a good night’s sleep, their eyes wide open under treacherous, menacing and stormy skies. Outside, people drank cool drinks or ate ice cream hurriedly, before these were reduced to sticky confections.

This was the fate of many residents of Joaquin V. Gonzalez, engulfed by nearly 300,000 hectares of soybeans, when at 2:00 a.m., with heat still burning under their skins, they saw a strange, gigantic luminous creature, elongated and weightless, heading southeast to El Tunal, some 35 kilometers from the town. It plowed the dark skies, lighting everything around it, visible to everyone.

The “cigar-shaped UFO” (as it is known to specialists) crossed the Saltan night suspended under a spongy ceiling of clouds, and according to some of the numerous witnesses, “with intermittent, flashing lights and a fixed red beacon”. As the object disappeared from view, those who watched the sky as though expecting something more, saw it disappear into the darkness toward El Tunal. Minutes later (some say 5, others 15), all of Joaquin V. Gonzalez experienced an electrical blackout that submerged a 200-kilometer area in the deepest darkness possible.

“It was terribly hot. Some people were eating ice cream while others sat around the outdoor tables of local restaurants,” said one witness to Salta’s El Tribuno. “Suddenly everyone saw a strange vehicle plow across the sky, completely illuminated, and a little bit later, there was a power failure. The phone lines were also rendered inoperative,” said the excited witness. “Things went back to normal at 11:30 a.m., nine hours later.”

The power failure was confirmed by the EDESA Company, which confirmed the lack of electricity only minutes after the blackout, adding that it was impossible to find the failure, which had occurred at the main power station located at El Tunal. The problem? “A burned-out generator!”

UFO expert Luis Burgos told DIARIO POPULAR that “the blackout occurred some fifteen or twenty minutes after the object was sighted over Joaquin V. Gonzalez, and right when it hovered over the generating plant at El Tunal.” To Burgos, the protagonist of yesterday’s episode was “what we call a mothership, a sort of space aircraft carrier measuring no less than 200-300 meters long, and which usually issues smaller UFOs measuring between 8 and 10 meters in size, which later return to the mothership.”

S&F, These UFO sightings are happening a lot now a days well IMO which makes my mind tumble in all different directions (William cooper: UFO's etc are NWO technology, Phil schnieder : NWO are aliens. etc etc etc) Whether fiction or not it seems like a lot of different facets of our society (lately) seem to be focused a lot on the whole subject of aliens in general.

With so many witnesses surely someone got some footage of this "mothership"?

I must say that this encounter seems unusually brazen; a large UFO appearing over urban areas completely illuminated? Regardless of whether the source of UFOs is black ops or extraterrestrial one characteristic that these sightings usually share is an apparent desire by the crafts occupants to keep their activities covert.

Most of the people saw it at around 2am. Unless you have some night vision lense's your not gonna see anything with a picure. Video would have had better luck but even that would have been bad..

Big UFO might mean big problems to electrical plants.
I once said a power outage was due to a ufo and got some
good points I recall, perhaps not on ATS.
I think before ATS even started, yes we discussed ufos on the
net years ago.

There are apparently two types of electrical waves.
One more powerful than the other.
Thus some how the kind we use has problems with the UFO kind.
Even the movies throughout the years have shown the effects.

there's just gotta be some photo or video if it was so brightly lit up in the night sky..

Strong magnets can screw up Earth technology. I heard somewhere a few years ago that many ET ships use magnetic technology, so perhaps this is why it screws up electrical devices. Like an EMP? Sorry i'm just having a lot of trouble explaining things the way i mean. But have ou ever really thought about it that way?

Not a single picture ***posted here yet***. Remember the event allegedly happened a day ago. If it had been months ago, then you might have a point.

Ha, I can't explain either from the electric field and not the
magnetic field that is supposed to propel and interfere with electrical
components and cause physical vibrations like the mail box going
back and forth, if that was in "Close Encounters....", from a physical
pressure wave.

Yeah this is a false sighting. 7500+ people and no photos or videos of any quality have surfaced yet. People are in such a rush to post to YouTube to be the 1st up loader of an event it's unreal --and an event like this, you gotta know SOMEONE, no matter how bad the quality, would have posted on YouTube by now.

I'm sorry, it's a fake report.

That's another thing, if aliens REALLY wanted to be known, why do they come at night where debunkers would have a field day with any photos or videos?
