Fox News Glorifies the Illuminati

I was just watching Hannity on Fox tonight, (Thanksgiving), and was suprised to see a 10 minute segment on the Illuminati and Weishaupt, both of which were painted in glorious colors as good guys seeking higher consciousness and enlightenment.

The Bavarian government, which shut them down, on the other hand, was presented as "repressive", as if they were the bad guys. Immediately after this the Illuminati were linked with the Founding Fathers of America, and a quote from George Washington was cited, where he stated that he had no doubt that the Illuminati were operating in America...as if the founding fathers were heavily influenced by the "good guys"--the Illuminati.

The Fox presentation runs counter to the historical documentation, which reveals that the Illuminati were ultimately out to destroy all forms of national sovereignity, religion, and family, in preparation for the emergence of an Illumined One World Government.

Anyone want to speculate on why Fox News presented the Illuminati in this light?

With all the events happening now, Im not surprised that the media is glorifying the Illuminati. Perhaps they are trying to change the way the less aware public view them. Could this be part of the plan to make it easier to move into power?

I am watching Angels & Demons right now, it says some stuff about the illuminati for about 400 years of hidden operation-- mathematicians , astrologers and scientists who went against the catholic and christian church. Maybe religion family values and things considered sacred and maybe sees the masons best of their trade as trying to unite and send subliminals having to do with a different way of thinking, I considered in the past if they were hiding things or going back and forth with Revelations.

Forgive me for not knowing my way around the workings of the tools for proper posting. I promise to take the time to work on this in the near future!

Im not sure about anyting else you posted but I am certain that the Cherokee had no year calendar as such until colonists gave them ours.
What if the illuminati were in direct conflict with the vatican and perhaps still are today? We KNOW the vatican is very powerful, we think the illuminati are.......perhaps the ILM did indeed have to hide their sacred knowledge (as the meso-americans cultures should have done) to prevent it's destruction. Do they have the ark of the covenenant? Could that be a dimensional doorway they are waitng until 2012 before it can be used? Just some odd random thoughts that have popped up. Thanks for the post, it is indeed interestng that FAUX would broadcast something like this.

He's notorious for laughing and hanging up on people who call into his radio show who prompt questions about the Skull and bones society and Bohemian grove, mocking these callers with Twilight Zone music and so forth.

Keep in mind that the Bavarian Illuminati that existed at the end of the 18th century is a very different animal than the Illuminati of conspiracy lore.

I didn't see the segment in question, but I would agree with Hannity that Weishaupt and the Illuminati were made up of "enlightened" individuals seeking a higher consciousness. I also agree that the Bavarian government, which was made up of monarchs was indeed a repressive regime.

George Washington was against the Illuminati. However, Thomas Jefferson was sympathetic to their cause. As to whether the Illuminati was an influence on the founding fathers, I'd say it was the opposite - the Illuminati were themselves heavily influenced by the founding fathers.

It is true that the Illuminati sought the abolition of the monarchy, but I'm sure most of us would agree that this is a good thing. The idea of a king or queen appointed by God himself to rule its people is completely absurd. (how Weishaupt managed to initiate as many members of the nobility as he did is strange considering the above)

I can also sympathize with their desire to end all religions. IMO, organized religions are and have always been a plague. It's not difficult to imagine how Weishaupt, who saw the Jesuits as his sworn enemies would have similar thoughts.

It is true that the Illuminati sought the abolition of patriotism and of national identity, which of course, can be seen as paving the way for a one world government. Weishaupt, who was a great fan of Jean Jacques Rousseau, believed that religion, property, and family ruined liberty and made the concept of equality an impossibility.

Father Edward Beck should not have been interviewed for this segment. IMO, he has a very poor knowledge of the Illuminati. He seems to be unaware that one of the major motivation for Weishaupt starting the Illuminati was his deeply-entrenched hatred for the Jesuits.

He also claims that the 4 elements of earth, water, air and fire were important to the Illuminati. To my knowledge, this isn't true. Although fire was quite important - especially in the higher degrees.

Dr. Hieronimus is also mistaken, Weishaupt was never a Jesuit Priest.

I was pleased to see Terry Melanson interviewed in the segment. He used to be a member here on ATS, and his knowledge of the Illuminati is phenomenal. I wish the producers would have asked him to review the interviews before airing the segment. I think most of what the ignorant catholic priest was saying would've been edited out.

I think there is a case, for them trying to just come out into the open. Interesting that they showed it, and does anyone have a vid on youtube of this.

But i agree with you, i think they want to come out publicily with some of this stuff.

Plus i think alot in america are seeing that what they did in europe, by bringing all people together wasn't such a bad thing in the real world.

But i do think they want in some ways to make this stuff more public, or otherwise hannity would never of showed any of that stuff.

I can't authenticate what he said,but it seems like he's really quite brilliant,in terms of research,etc...

I haven't read every one of the excerpts I mentioned,but I'm definetly getting his book!

Please don't look for any factual information about the Illuminati in Angels and Demons.

For one, Galilei died ~150 years before the Illuminati was even founded.

The original goals of the Illuminati were
1 Seperation of church and state
2 Equality for women
3 The general enlightenment of all

Hmmmm, just who might be threatened by this?????
