Hi

My name is Daniel and i live in the northwest of England. I'm currently trying to get my post count past 20 so i can start a thread about an experience i would like to share and discuss. I have been a lurker for a long time on this site and signed up a couple of months ago, yet still continued to lurk. I would like to get alot more active on this site and have some kind of input, even if it is very minimal.

This is a great site to dicuss and learn about bizarre, paranormal and otherworldly happenings. Although my first visit of this site was to laugh at some mans story involving a fishman although i'm not anymore, as you will learn from my thread.

Thanks for reading and i'm looking forward to having some sort of involvement on ATS

Daniel

I will try to make my posts count but i do no research as such, all i can do is give my opinion on matters i have a bit of knowledge in, or share advice on things i have experienced. And i hope that the 20 posts stack up in no time coz i have my experience typed up in wordpad ready to copy and paste across to ATS.

Thanks for replying.

I had same view when I first started. I was merely going to give my opinion. In some threads it is quite possible just to do that. In other threads, research comes in handy, especially when somebody challenges you to prove what you are saying.

Either way, remember to play nice at all times.

Hi Daniel, funny you should mention the fishman story.

I feel I might just know you

Maybe I do maybe I don't.

What I do know is the guy with the fish man story had some very good ideas on my fav subject.
Just while your here have an open mind, there are great debates, but there are people here who will want to mock you at every opportunity for posting your own ideas. Keep strong and remember, back up your claims whenever you can friend.

i'm only aware of knowing one other person on this site, he was actually the first person i told about my experience, he encouraged me to post it but i never did. I just thought today enough is enough and typed out in detail what happened to me. As a lurker i know what to expect, alot of laughter and ridicule, minimal advice and more questions than answers, but it feels safer this way as i am just another member on a huge forum rather than being pointed at and mocked in the street and branded crazy.
Maybe we have met sometime, i wouldn't know, you're just an avatar to me on this site but six degrees of seperation and all that, and after what i saw , anythings possible, well almost anything.

As for playing kind, i'm an understanding person, very sarcastic with dark humour but i'm never mean without a justified reason in real life and i'm going to be the same on here. I say i don't research but i mean personally, i research other peoples research but it's hard to know who to believe because you always have to questions peoples motives and credability

How`re things Howeird !

Welcome to the melee

Once you get comfortable using the tools provided by ATS i.e posting links, embedding Google/ Utube videos etc , researching topics will become a joy .

Many s a night i logged on to ATS only to later find myself, scurrying about online for hours. Looking for Maps of tectonic activity in Africa,CIA operations in S. America , or any number of curiosities i hadn`t planned on reading up on.

This is what i like about ATS , if you engage with fellow members with an honest curiosity and are willing to stray from your comfort zone, a world of novelty opens up.

That's the kind of stuff i like the sounds of. Do you have any links to sites that you use to research or is it just a case of using a search engine??

Daniel just remember this is a forum and not a chat room.

Have your "ducks in a row" before you post something so you can back up your claim.

And just a word of advice, don't waste your time posting jpegs of innocuous things you have found while looking at Area 51 and the Nevada Test Site on Google Earth.

And trying to convince others they are some thing they are not.

Some other guy on here has that covered already.

Looking forward to your first post about your experience.

to be honest, i've saw quite i few pictures of area 51, the moon bases etc and i fail to see anything people claim as i am not trained in geology or do i have any experience in it, but i take your points on board. It is my intention to only post in topics i am interested in learning more about or ones i can influence in a way with things i have learnt or discovered, however small that influence might be.

Thanks for the welcome and as soon as i hit 20 posts, my topics going in the gray area because i have no actual physical proof, only my word, but it's still worth a read. I've tried to recall as much information as possible and stretched something that happened relatively quicks into a decent breakdown of events

Once again, thanks for the replies people!!

Hello Howeird,

I like your nik. I've only been here a few days, but the posts come easy when you read all the cool stuff that's here. I like most of what I've read, and I appreciate the ones I don't like because of the stimulation even they provide. I am looking forward to your experience, so if you are going to cut and paste, you have lots of time to get it "just right." Remember, for every foolish guy on her, there are dozens of deep and thoughtful people. I hope you have as much fun as I have been having.

Thanks dromadus, i'm currently losing my beauty sleep as i'm eager to post this story tonight but i've got to hit 20 posts but i don't wanna post randomness. How are you finding ATS being new and all??

Mainly just using search engines .

I like to bookmark all the things that catch my eye , or that may prove useful later on ATS e.g data sets, quotes , research papers & documents, images . After a short time you will be inundated with links ...... manage your bookmarks well , you will be glad you labelled them 12 months later .

Some i went through my bookmarks and pulled out some i thought you may find useful or just plain old interesting.

You`ll find some very creative people here.
The Space Collective

These two links that may be handy to have.

Hmmm i'm still undecided on him, i haven't actively searched out all his research, i only know him from the disclosure project and some appearances on coast to coast which i am a fan of. I know that the majority of the guests on coast to coast are sometimes vague and unconvincing, but i'll still listen to what they have to say nonetheless, as i think it is healthy to think outside the box no matter how crazy it may sound. Kinda like showing a Saxon a complex bit of electronics like an iphone, just because the saxon can't comprehend how it would work, doesn't mean it is not possible. Bad example there but the point i was trying to make was none of us know it all, just because we can't understand doesn't make their point any less valid.

My thread is up in the grey area now people, check it out!

Thanks for your reply in the gray area topic too umbra
