Ohhh I think the percentages will be far more greater than that man. America has the most heavely armed civilian population in the world I hear.

If the Government wanted to take your freedoms away, I think they would first take your guns, my be good to hide them somewhere

It is the patriotic duty of all responsible Americans to be armed- legally. Here in Va, owning guns is a requisite.

In Pa., they hand out Concealed Carry permits like chiclets. Kind of scary when you think about it, considering the number of bubbas running around armed to the teeth. Personally, I only carry a kerambit outside of the house.....inside's a different story. I'm all about the 2nd Amendment, but guns tend to be a pretty permanent solution, even when attempting to wound, and most citizens aren't that familiar with marksmanship as a concept. Now a blade will actually give one pause to consider their present course. Way easier to control the potential for lethality.

Oh, goodness yes, I'm armed to the teeth and educated about every weapon. I make them! Gunsmith, knifesmith, metalsmith, blacksmith, etc.

But to be a patriotic American today, we need to believe in America, our way of life and how we can continue it. The strength of America has always been our innovation and our ability to resolve problems with ourselves. No other country ever has even come close. This is the power and strength of America! We don't fight each other we fight our enemies. And we have always been the leader in innovation!

America's future is not in defense but in offense, leadership, space, in technology, environment, even entertainment, health care, etc. We need to look up not down, to the future, not the past. Take our rich past and make a glorious future! Build on the accomplishments of our parents and ancestors! We need to instill in our children the inspiration to be the leaders of tomorrow!

That's the American challenge!

I have put my life on the line to protect the American way of justice and freedom for all...

What I am not is a mindless sheep that will willingly follow into the abyss. our so called leaders are really employees. If they do not perform the job we appointed them with "Following the will of the people" we fire them and replace them with someone who will! That to is the American way..

I'm sure I'm reading this wrong, but are you saying that if I'm not armed (which by the way I am), I can't be a patriot? Or that just because someone is armed they are? I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around this one.
