Ukraine Battlefields

Howdy all.

Next year im planning a 100day tour of famous places around the world.
One stop, will be Ukraine.
Chernobly for the most part, but also its western borders for the other.

Ive got about 5 days in Ukraine, and im hoping to take a metal detector out to a couple of sites and see if I can find anything.

Has anyone attempting something like this?
Been through Ukraine, or can recommend any reading?

Before anyone mentions the serpents wall website, ive seen it, but it doesnt offer alot of technical knowledge.
