I'm a smoker that currently wants to quit... but there is no way... NO WAY I'll be getting this vaccine. Just the thought of a vaccine would make me want to quit. Although, I'm sure a lot of the Non-Smokers on here will be glad to hear this!

Source: Anti-Smoking Vaccine

While a large number of products are currently available success rates for permanently giving up tobacco are varied. Figures from the American Lung Association suggest that relapse rates among smokers are as high as 90 per cent within a year of quitting. But the vaccine, which is injected, works by creating anti-bodies that bind to nicotine molecules, preventing them from passing the blood into the brain. If successful the vaccine could help prevent millions of smoking related deaths around the world.

Thats like the vaccine they wanted to give people addicted to coc aine. They would just destroy your bodies reaction to the drug, so taking the drug would do nothing for you.

Why cannot people use will power, lol.

I will highly dubious about this vaccine as I am about anything big pharma does this days.

The plethora of side effects from previous anti smoking drugs are too big to ignore, A vaccine is injected and is no way to take it back after is done.

I have to laugh here. They act like smoking is a disease and that it needs it's own vaccination. Next thing we know, they will have a "free thought" vaccination too...

Why not a sugar and saturated fat vaccination? After all, obesity and cardiovascular disease due to junk food is a much deadlier that cigarettes.

Just my 2-cents

Well I guess it has to do with the hype of the moment, this obviously to cash out on the pandemic and people willingness to get vaccinated, why no vaccines for other issues now that people are raising their sleeves.
