"Beating children"? That's the wrong term to use.

This reminds me of some of the talk shows I've seen on the boob tube. Mother X brings Child Y onto the stage. Child Y cannot seem to behave and she just cant control them.

The obvious question that nevergets asked is "where is the father?" They must edit that out.

There is no discipline.

Those kids were not done any favors by parents letting them run wild. Prisons are full of people like that. And their victims are out there still, well, those that aren't in a grave thanks to these criminals.

And prisons used to beat prisoners right here in the good ol' USA.
That was more of a form of torture though, IMO.
