casper in in White Sulfer Springs, West Virginia is now a tourist attraction so they couldn't go there because it is open to the public for tours now, the former U.S.

Designed to be the work place for Congress.The Mountaineer Room and Governor's Hall would easily accommodate the US Senate and House of Representatives
and can house up to 6500 people.

So some held up at what is now known as "Mount Weather", code named Highpoint and nicknamed by President Eisenhower
"The Hide out" located 8 miles from Berryville VA in the Blue ridge mountains bordering Virginia and Pennsylvania this facility is operated by FEMA.
You enter this facility through 5ft thick 20 ft wide 34 ton blast doors into an underground city complete with a hospital,
Tv and radio studio, 20 under ground office buildings some 3 stories tall and has 500 thousand gallon water storage tanks.

Some went to Site R a military command post in a hollowed out mountain -official name "Alternate Joint Communications Center"
nick named The Underground Pentagon at Raven Rock mtn near the MD, PA border by Waynesboro PA only 7 miles from Camp David it doubles as the Presidential bunker,
Dick Cheney was there on 911.

George W Bush after finishing his pet goat story in Sarasota FL flew to the Strategic command underground outpost at Barksdale AFB near Shreeveport LA,
this is where he gave his 2 minute address to the nation on 911 but seen himself landinf there on TV so flew out to Offit AFB near Omaha NE.
This is the United States Strategic Command (STRATCOM) where the president went through the blast doors 3 stories below into the command center.

I'm glad we have these... if we didn't we'd be remiss. The wallpaper, though, seriously needs to be redone.

It's true we need these, but the Russians and the Chinese have actually built survival shelters for their citizens. Apparently the moral geniuses that run our government felt no need to try to protect the American public.

Well when they come out of their shelters, let's hope the radioactive flesh eating zombies that are left, feast on the elitist pencil pushing bureaucrats .

Lol, I'm not sure I'd want to be alive with only a few of us and boocoodles of the elites. Even if the numbers were more equal than that, I'm still not sure I'd want to "live" in the wake of that kind of destruction. I'm not sure that would be living.

yep, usukun govts have definitely planned ahead for this one but not far enough. If quakes become common (this is what govts are now preparing for!)the big underground military bunkers will be like mass graves so they were all a waste of money, and all areas of land near to nuclear sites will be no go areas. shorelines will change with tsunamis so no port can be depended upon. if quakes become common then so will volcanic activity, so aircraft wont be able to fly cause of volcanic ash in the air. ships cant be depended upon if quakes become common cause tsunamis will also be common, so all they have left which are safe areas are submarines and whatever is already in space.
govts are preparing for what they believe is to come, which is a time when earth shakes everywhere at the same time. It could happen, and prophecies predict similar.
quake proof self sufficient centres, underground and high above sea level will be the safest environments, if you wanna find out where they are being built watch out for military and politically linked persons land possession/building activity in high altitude areas far away from shorelines, fault lines, volcano's, nuclear installations, cities, towns and villages, but within an hours car drive from capital cities or their hometown. govts and their ranks are very predictable when you know what they are doing with youre hard earned taxes in making their future safer but not youre own.

Let me share this before I go if you had to communicate with someone 1,000 years ago with only notes. How would you do it?
Chances are someone from that era doesn’t speak your dialect and this is because about every 200 years or less slang and other forms of talking change. so apparently you are left with one form to communicate pictography. so you might draw a bird a plane and some lines to represent numbers but if the person looks at it and says what the #@%% is this person crazy or super stupid you might understand how the Egyptians or Mayans or many more feel when trying to communicate to us.

what does this mean well these cultures and many more have all gone to enormous lengths to communicate a grave Idea and it is 2012, also it’s in pyramids temples caves and more. well why so important, better question here, we are a little more than a year from the 12,21,2012 date and why are the poles changing what’s going on with the climate, why is all the world in such a disaster and now tsunamis earthquakes ect.

well maybe just maybe these old cultures were smarter then we give credit maybe they were smarter than us at one time(Atlantis) and destroyed for arrogance that thinking nothing will happen their technologies will save them and people who lived 10,000 years before them just smoked way too many drugs or something and didn’t have their resources
just think now we are having solar storms and solar flares and some E.M.P. emissions form the sun and they are getting bigger and bigger son we will see thousands of computers and phones affected by the upcoming e.m.p. blast from the sun. but on the other hand maybe these cultures just want to warn us in the form they hope we will understand with pictures and dates. Lastly is it just coincidence that these cultures all were thousands and thousands of miles apart, or were they really better equipped with technology than us in order to go and distribute the knowledge to others.

And yes I do accept the Anunnaki as a theory
