The Terminator Ad. Has to go

The Terminator advert has to go.

I've never had any problems here at ATS with adverts or pop-up's.

But this new Terminator advert has to go. It's so annoying if you go anywhere near it that blasted box pops open.

I hate it.

And now I hate all the films, and Arnie Schwarzenegger.

Check your pc for malware and stuff, I've never had any pop-up or Terminator ad on ATS. OR I just have a good firewall/ad-blocker?

We were just discussing this in the bad adverts threads.

Throw some disgust that way too if you would.

GIve me the link. I'll give it both barrels.

And i do have all the tools to stop adverts, pop-ups etc etc.

But this ad will pop up if you hover you're mouse over it. no matter what tools you have.

I've posted in the ad thread, but I have to agree in here too! (it's what the internet of for dagnammit!!)

It's a bugger, I clicked on it by mistake as it was unfurling, and then couldn't get rid of it (without refreshing the page/going to another page)

Put it in a rocket and launch it at the sun please

i may be unconscious of ever-more sloppy curser movement...

but i too am suddenly experiencing 1,000% more pop-ups and those annoying AUDIOs on them banner ADs



in conjunction with these annoying intrusions into my forum experience
i getting re-routed to the board menue list when i deliberatey clicked to get on 'Page 2' of the most recent thread...

the topic was about testing for brain hemisphere dominance...
and i was thwarted by a flanking action by the ATS server --- which then
led to a PC ~error~ prompt->-> and the subsequent necessary re-boot to return to the copy i was interested in.

i was just away to complain about the same thing!!

not only does it take up like a 5th of my screen, but it doesnt close when asked,.,

and its a FREEKIN POP UP!

i thought ats was above pop up ads!

come on staff!

It's a "Piggin' nuisance" as they say round here. I was about to click on My ATS, when I got a grey screen, and then the Ad. Three fast clicks got rid. I had not clicked or moused over anything above the ATS toolbar.

Just to add, I think that somehow the ads on the right are responsible for persistently logging me out intermittently...anybody else?

Totally agree. It would be useful if advertisers realised that this has (for thinking people) the opposite effect and actually puts people off the products they are trying to promote???

remember, ATS would not be able to survive without advertising??!!!??

Advertising makes me sick to my stomach. I agree that the revenue it provides must be important but there are ways and means. And it seems that all ways and means are acceptable here.

Please, please, will someone get rid of this ad. I really don't know how long my lap top will stay in one piece if this ad continues to piss me off!

That's odd. I have never seen that ad in my life...

That is one of the funniest pictures I've seen in a while. It makes me giggle. But yeah, I too have never seen that ad on ATS.

unfortunetly .. you are precicely right..

money comes first round here, then keeping advertisers happy, then truth and conspiricy related issues.

its becomign a bit of a joke really ... im up to about 80% of had enough of this place for those exact reasons!

EDIT::

this is getting more annoying by the minute! i must have opened that play.com page about 9 times today without even trying, once that ad starts its impossible to not open that page without pressing f5 then goin where needed VERRY FAST.

come on staff, sort it out!
