It doesn't matter much whether it's religion or not.
I can't trust nor wait hand and foot on the same corrupt and secretive government that has kept its citizens in the dark to disclose something.
It's a lot like trusting the same person who betrayed you.

Not in my life time, I doubt it. Conspiracy or not, I just don't believe that it will happen.
