Congressman Willson's plan is good.
One thing to consider though.
Most congressmen are rich, so it would be trivial for them to purchase a superior PPO plan on their own avoiding the congressional plan entirely.
So even if congress did pass a bill stating they must use public insurance (which there is no way in hell they would do), the actual impact on their
lives would be trival.
The Senate is called the millionare's club for a reason.
Oh, when you have some time, look up the
seventeenth
amendment and consider its implications on our government. Senators used to only have to campaign to their state's legislature, which costs
nothing. Now they have to campaign to the public of an entire state, which costs millions. The Senate is the second most corrupt body in our
government, right after the presidency.
