MICHAEL MOORE: Well, I don’t agree with the copyright laws and I don’t have a problem with people downloading the movie and sharing it with people. As long they’re not doing it to make a profit off it, as long as they’re not, you know, trying to make a profit off my labor. I would oppose that. But um, you know I do quite well and I um…I don’t know, I make these books and movies and TV shows because I want things to change, so the more people that get to see them the better,

This raw film by Michael Moore exposes the realities of capitalistic health care system. It's over an hour long but IMO well worth the view. Several download options exist at the link provided below...choose the one that's suitable for you.

.....And take the show with a grain of salt as most documentaries are extremely biased and, 9 times out of 10, spin the truth to fit the model. They purposefully leave out facts that may dismantle the view intended.

With that said...I thought it was an eye opening film.

That quote reminded me of the people in other threads attacking Michael Moore on his documentary about the "evils" of capitalism. They said that he was a hypocrite since he's gained so much because of capitalism and also for profiting off all his films.....well look at his quote if you think he's "just a capitalist" or whatever. Difficult for me to say the other sides stance adequately since it hardly makes any sense

But very nice film, I enjoyed the boat trip

good old USA...the movie made me cry when I saw it a few years ago, and guess what....nothings changed!

This whole as longs as it's not my taxes or out of my back pocket crap...
Yer lets pay insurance to a corporation and then have to beg to have treatment, or while in a comma get pre approval for an ambulance to transport you to the insurance companies approved hospital, even though there is a closer hospital.
Can some please explain what part of logic that is...

I'm pretty sure this movie was in theaters.

And he was making money off of it. It's a documentary, so no one is going to buy it unless it's for educational reasons.

He's a capitalist, he knows it, I know it. If you want to prove me wrong, go out onto the web and find a place where he offers me a chance to view his new movie on capitalism for free (THAT IS NOT BOOTLEGGED)

I saw that movie a few months ago and it found it pretty disturbing.

I am lucky enough to live in a country where we don't have to worry about money if we get sick. I still have a private insurance to pay for drugs and other stuffs like private rooms etc...

I had a car accident a few years ago, I received top-notch medical care, both while at the hospital and after, it didn't cost me a dime.

I cannot begin to understand how come America is still giving control of it's health care to private companies who are there only to make a profit and I cannot understand why the ones who would benefit the most from a public heath care system are often the ones who are the most opposed to it. And America wants the world to follow them

In the meantime, our hospitals in Quebec probably charge less even to a tourist than what it cost you in the states ... Canada is only a river away...

the true cost or dollar value of health care is controlled by the same corporations...
The add to that are the phama cartels that control the cost of drugs
