ORANGE lights spotted in the night sky over Derby have sparked reports of UFOs.
Derby Telegraph readers have told how they saw the mysterious lights above their homes.
Neither East Midlands Airport or the Ministry of Defence have been able to explain the reports.

Not quite sure what to make of these as i missed them, but crosses in the sky?
Was kind of hoping that some footage would have been available or photos but cannot find any yet but the whole city is talking about it as it was top local news yesterday.
Has anyone else seen crosses like this before in the sky?

Great find
I have a thread here on ATS about a series of sightings my family and I witnessed back in 97. I spotted an amber colored light on top of a nearby mountain peak. At first I thought it was cross shaped but I then noticed the wisps of light connecting each point to the next giving it a gyroscopic shape. I have read about triangle shapes, cigar shapes, saucer shapes but never cross shapes.

This is very interesting. We still don't know what we saw during that week but I'm always on the look out and your post caught my eye. Good reporting this is what keeps me coming back to ATS. I think it's about time we start getting some answers about what we all are seeing.

The fact they made cross symbols is either a complete coincidence or makes me believe its a complete hoax.

I hope not though. Ill keep my eyes on this story. There are so many sightings in the UK now, makes me wonder whats going on behind the scenes.

Peace.

I love it. I love reading these stories about orange UFOs, especially in Derby Dales, as I've seen them myself in Birmingham for 20 minutes and know they are real!

Hello.. I do believe in "God" as in Prime Creator, but I also stand firm in my belief that the ancient, primitive civilizations mistook these UFO orbs as gods when in reality they were extraterrestrials. They probably worshipped them at the ancient stone sites like Stonehenge and Arbor Low. It is also at these ancient sites that the UFO orbs are coincidently seen in abundance flying over the ley lines. Some people still seem to think the UFO orbs are gods (namely, Jesus) as you can see by the drawing.

I always use the following video filmed by member ufoorbhunter to show people that they do exist, and they can easily be misidentified as Sky Lanterns. I don't know if they are actual ships or some kind of probes, they do seem to have a consciousness of their own though and they are intelligently controlled. They also seem to be composed of pure light, or electromagentic energy. They are pure energy! As you will see in the video, they flicker colours from the electromagnetic light spectrum as if being some kind of multi-dimensional vehicle or even a living organism. Here is the video (look in HQ): openvideo.dailymotion.com...

What?
Is there a video or photo released?

The "picture" in the article is only an artist's impression on the reports.

Yes, I believe the image on the OPs link is merely a rendition, did you manage to read any of the words above or below the image before you made this completely pointless one liner post?......

On topic:
I am always happy to hear more and more of these kinds of sightings where size can only be determined by the obscuring of stars, they are far more intriguing than lights whizzing around.

tracey ace if you haven't already done so, and as this is your thread you might want to take the lead in contacting Aleister Willis as he seems to want video analysis of what footage he has, I know full well the mods can point you in the right direction.

Could it be project bluebeam? Or whichever it was that uses holograms? The pictures looked a lot like projections to me. And we do have the technology. On CNN they used a hologram on election night. It looked SO REAL.

Great find tracey ace. They are back and buzzing Derby again. The sighting sounds similar to the crosses seen over Nuremberg in the medieval times.

We know for a fact that these things are real, it's just why Derbyshire attracts them so often. Why Derbyshire trace? Why do the ufos and in particular the ufo orbs love the place so much?

Why would the fact that the objects that the person saw were in the shape of a cross lead you to believe that this was a hoax? Do you know the shape of the craft/objects being seen? I certainly don't, and if these are craft of ET origin, then why couldn't some of them be cross-shaped?

I was thinking the same thing, but instead of hoax, perhaps bluebook?
I mean, if we're to be expecting fake holographic images by our own secret govt, why not choose the symbol of the religion they want everyone to be following?
My question is, how many christians saw this and think it is some type of miracle?

I used to live in Derby , and i remember years ago my friend telling me of a massive triangular shaped craft hovering over 'spider bridge' , we all thought he was drunk until it was in this very paper the next day.

He was white as a sheet and not intoxicated , wether i believed what he was saying does not matter to me all i know is he certainly believed it.

And here we are years later with a similar situation in the same area..

i am gonna drop some info that i do not see in the derby telegraph page or anywhere else.

Derby has a rolls royce plant , infact its massive beyong belief and spans different part of the city..

So lets take this logicaly , we have 2 unkown objects flying in a town that has a massive industry in building flying machines and experimental engines....

....need i say more?

The Rolls theory is a good one for the activity. I personally go with the main motorway of energy ley line system in the shape of a triangle that has been laid over England. the apex of this pyramid is located at the ancient stone circle of Arbor Low, where most of my recordings/sightings have been. Derbyshire is buzzing with ufo activity using this energy super motorway going south west and south east and passes over Derby itself.

Apparently some people saw V's or W's so it was probably only a cross from certain angles.

Ive seen these loads, im from lichfield and also stoke (uni)

Most likley chinese lanterns. Loads of people have started buying these and setting them off to fool people that there UFO's. The shapes, well, im guessing that due to an increase in sales, someone has probly jumped on the band wagon and created different styled cinese lanterns
