the future is an ambiguous beast, i think that our reality is constantly changing and the future with it. I think the fact that that kid in Colombia predicted that there would be an assassination attempt on Obama probably got back to the secret service and they probably doubled there efforts for the time in question. Just a thought, maybe predicting a possible future can actually stop that prediction from coming true. For instance if I predict that you will be late for work on Friday, you would probably be sure to be on time for work on Friday, just to show that I can't predict the future. As such, if someone was going to set off a bomb on oct. 25th and suddenly its all over the internet months before, they would probably pick a different day. Just my 2 cents...

I have to agree. Your analogy is quite logical. I am sure the watchdogs got the tip from little man in Columbia or like I said it was a metephor and not literal. Just like I had a dream about a nuclear bomb hitting at the Obama inaguration, it literaly did not happen (thank goodness) but in a way there has been a lot of nuclear activity since his comming into office so my dream was not a complete miss in retrospect, it just was not literal.

The thing that bothers me is that there are always new users who come across all these different sources picking a hot date for the StHTF. I am trying to post everywhere so people can look back and see how these predictions have ALWAYS been erroneous.

This year does not compare to last year's doom and gloom for October 2008. Everyone was trumping it-Webot,, PC, Dr. Deagle, etc. In fact, I think it is time for there to be disclaimers for anyone before they buy the webbot subscription or whatever that outlines every prediction it has made in the past. This way people can see how unreliable it is. If they still want to pay 10 bucks thinking "no, this time it is different" than they do not deserve the money. I just people who get caught up in this for the first time around this time next year have the sense to look at previous posts to see that this has all been said before with no avail. There are some of mine that have not been removed yet and the evidence can still be found at these places. I am really starting to get very disgusted with Cliff High. He continually makes these rounds with such horrible predictions scaring people into it. Whatever the web-bot says will happen, will not. That is how it is useful. Read it to see exactly what will not happen-or save your money.

im sure i read somewhere that this time overlapped with the signing in of Adolf Hitler into German Parliament long before WW2.

At that time no one knew it was to be a world changing event.

this could be something similar. maybe it will not shed any light for months or even years.

who knows??

Maybe they should just say something significant will happen at some time, at some day, at some month, at some year in the future.

That way the doomsayers have all their bases covered and they can finally say "I told you so!".

Students find problems with Windows 7 upgrade

Microsoft says it is aware of several issues that folks have encountered. Most common is the fact that folks can't easily go from the 32-bit version of Vista to the 64-bit version of Windows 7. That requires a clean installation.

In addition to that issue, Microsoft notes that it is investigating two other errors that folks have been encountering. For some folks, the download hangs at a certain percentage and won't continue or resume.

In other cases, users get a generic unspecified error message. "While not widespread, this issue appears to be caused when one of the downloaded files is incomplete or has become corrupted on the user's computer. "

Slayer my friend you have found the next Y2K calamity! We are sure dead

BTW who can trust a newly released Windows anyways :p

No I am personaly not disapointed I am happy that everything is well I do not want to say OK or good because that is not true but I am glad that the majority of us are safe, eating, and not sick. I dread the day that all heck breaks loose I just simply want to be prepared.
