I was reading through some of my favorite forums when I came across this pieace of information I thought I should share with the ATS community. Right
now E Trade, Scottrade, And Td Ameriatrade are all down conducting Maintenance at the same time, aloung with a rising number of banks. With all of
these financial institutions conducting maintenance at the same time it just seems strange to me. With the whole webbot prediction suppose to happend
while this companies are it;s just strange. It is most likely just a cowincedence.
Ok, well you can go ahead and add my bank to that. Alaska USA federal Credit Union. I don't have a way to show you their statement saying the system
will be down, but I just saw it when I was logged in. The system will be down till 6:30am Sunday Alaska time. What is going on? This is really
weird...
Yes I no thier are more banks but I don't have links or a account at the particular bank to prove it myself. Supposedly Charles Schwab is also down
though they don't have a message on thier front page so somebody with at acoount thier would have to verify aloung with a few other at this point.
I usually read alot of the threads and chuckle, but I too find this to be kinda big to be a conicidence. I do know that chase and amaritrade have
often been down on sundays before for me for whatever scheduled maintenance is. But for all of these banks and who nows how many more to be down like
this is really kinda weird.
Hey I just realized it is the 80th anniversary of the stock market crash of 1929. Are they doing this as a precaution? I stocked up today and filled
the gas tank just in case something does happen....
Canada reporting in, my account works at RBC (both investment and savings). It seems the US is affected only for now. Are you guys sure these updates
dont happen regularly on sunday morning? How often do you log on to check this time on a weekend?
