Finally, after an alleged two-year letter-writing spree that has devastated the families of seven Diggers who died in Afghanistan, Haron faces criminal charges.
In the letters he allegedly wrote to grieving parents and wives of the Diggers - one addressed to a widow, care of a funeral home - he apparently accused some of the dead Australian soldiers of being "criminals", "killers" and "murderers" fighting a war of invasion.

In the US or for that matter Europe they would have sued this man for harassment and slander.

Australia has been known to have a weak police system for a developed country, especially when you consider the riots, the racial attacks and all the smuggling and human trafficking that goes on within its borders. Its too big of a country and too sparsely populated for effective policing by such small force.

Sorry to hear that Australia is going in a bad direction because of all the migrants that are arriving there. Why don't you advertise for white people to migrate to Australia as there is a lot of land there to build on. Or you can do what they did during the second world war and have children from England shipped to Australia to populate the white race as it was small at that time. i have often tried to discuss aboriginals getting more benefit from australian government sources than others. its hard to do without sounding racist.

I'm not saying it's not heartless what hes doing, but it's a freaking letter. Throw the damn thing away. You start reading a letter and it's crap, just throw it away, burn it if it makes you feel better.

this is no stalking or harassment.
it's just a guy stating his opinion about what are the true causes of the war, the problem is that it seems he doesn't have any scrupules and adresses his opinions to the wrong persons, causing more pain to the greaving families.

But only for sending a letter with words "you son was a criminal" to each family that lost someone...he didn't break any law, and in any democratic country he couldn't be convincted of anything.

If he were to stalk the family on each step they make and whisper in their ear "your son was a criminal" than yes, he could be convicted , but not for sending a letter with no threats in it.

I 'm not saying i agree with what he did, causing more pain to anyone who is going through a loss is one of the lowest things to do , because there is no pain for a parent that can be compared to the loss of a child.

But in law terms, in he didn't threat and send only 1 letter to each family and didn't abuse by sending tens of letters to a single person, he didn't break any law and he can't be convicted of anything.

If breaking the morale boundries would be a crime, than yes...
