Personally I believe that the Democrats and Creigh Deeds have blown this one. All summer for example Bob McDonnell was running ads introducing himself and attacking Deeds with barely a peep out of the Deeds camp and even at this late date McDonald ads out number Deeds ads and then there is an absolutely idiotic ad from the NRA that has to be seen to be believed.

In all reality the only thing Deeds has going for him right now is that thesis McDonnell wrote when he was at Pat Robertson's Regency University that is; unless you are a right wing Christian, is scary reading...

and the fact that the Warner/Kaine machine which Deeds is the heir is still very popular...people are not going to forget the terrible mess the Allen/Gilmore administrations made of the state in the mid/late 90's any time soon.
