"UFO" over Niagara Falls : Video

I have run through the entire gamut of possibilities to justify what I saw too, including reflection and weather phenomenon. But, I can't eliminate what I saw on the first night, and it trumps any other explanation I have come up with. There was enough daylight on my first sighting to see the whole thing - the shape of it, the colour, the configuration and colour of the lights. The spotlights didn't come on for another 30 minutes.

All of the initial vids on youtube, shot from down on the hill, show the spotlight hitting it repeatedly. I was up at Main and Ferry and saw the spotlight hitting it repeatedly on all occasions but one (a night when they weren't on for some reason.)

If you want my answer to your question, it's exactly the same conclusion I've come to. When you see something that blows your mind and is completely outside the realm of what you can comprehend, you try and make it fit into what you know of normal. When you've been conditioned all your life to think that these things don't exist, and then you're face to face with it, your mind seeks to meet the conditioning. It's the most human response in the world. I've been there too, but now I've just come to accept it is outside of my understanding. It is. And I'm glad I got to see it.

Just to add as an update, IT (according to my contacts) hasnt been seen in February at all. If someone has seen IT since January, let us know. Myself and many of the observers I brought out to see IT are not totally convinced that this is natural or weather. Some more time observing would help work out some of the 'nagging' questions. Only time will tell.

Hey again handeroo. Just out of curiosity, what aspect of the sighting is still unexplained / weird to you (plural)?

I just want to go over it piece by piece to make sure you've understood my explanation fully, even if it means finding inconsistencies in it.

There's the rod shapes.
There's the perspective illusion, making it appear like a triangle of sorts (at times).
There's the locations of the ground based (spot)lights that exactly match the lights seen in the sky.
There's the correlation between the ground spotlights being turned off and the lights in the sky disappearing.

I'd say it's 99% explained, with the exception of the summer based sightings, which I can't really confirm happened. If I sound arrogant or anything, it's not by choice. I'm just stating my beliefs.

As for that GPS tracker, I completely understand. UPS was expensive as all hell and you prolly haven't had time to check out other options. As long as I get it eventually I'm happy.

I think you should make a separate thread with this. Seems the UFO also flys behind the trees as well. Why didnt you focus more on the UFO? Why did you decide to film yourself in the rear view mirror instead of the UFO that was flying overhead?

I suggest you stop wasting peoples time, including your own, with horribly bad fakes.

I was in Niagara Falls, when this "UFO" started appearing in October 2009, I was standing outside the back doors of where I worked, when a co-worker looked straight up at the sky, it was overcast at the time but she could clearly make out 3 flashing lights. If you look on Google maps, at the Boston Pizza on Clifton Hill, 40*05'25.64" N by 79*04'28.97" W. That's where we were, my guesstimate is that the ufo was 200-400 meters to the south east.. it started at about 7pm at night ... by 9:30pm the clouds had thinned out and we could see more then just dim lights. We could make out two lines of lights, plus a bigger flashing light. Yes the spotlights from across the street in the motel area were on and doing their roundabouts .. they would meet up in the middle and hit the solid mettalic surface, causing a reflection shining back down to the ground. But when the spotlights weren't on the ufo, you could still make out some visible light, not from the clouds either. By 10:30pm they were gone.

Between the start date .. and the time i moved from niagara in july '10 .. i witnessed this ufo on multiple occasions, including one night as I got off of work at 9pm .. there were very few clouds in the sky, but you could see a faint outline of the ufo, and every time the spotlights met in the middle and reflected back down, you could see alot more of the "craft" including an "arm" that to me looked like it had windows and was about 20-30 feet long. I did have a digital camera .. but unfortunately the pictures i ended up taking had worse quality than what has been posted on here ...

I dont know if this helps anyone .. and the person who has the most videos of this ufo on youtube has the account name of shivercanada. .. just look up Niagara Falls Ufo .. and his name will pop up with multiple videos of it.

just bouncing thru here to say that IT has not been seen since Feb ( mentioned in earlier post), BUT, IT made a brief appearance 3 weeks ago. Two of my contacts caught a glimspe. Certainly was NOT cold. Kinda pees on the "ice' theory a bit. I was not totally convinced of that anyhow...the hunt is on again.

Well, IT has returned! Three nights worth of captures were posted AGAIN by shivercanada on youtube. This is throwing ICE out of the picture. Interesting that another video was posted from a different person, from the same general location as some of my videos were shot. Shivercanada continues to lead the hunt. There IS something there. The lights get cut off from illuminating to their full height, as seen in a couple different videos, and evident after close examination. AND now to complicate matters, the spotlights which are what causes the flash/reflection, have been completely removed, now making it harder to notice.
