Yesterday, Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden didn't say what the charges would be, but he did say the parents, Richard and his wife, Mayumi Heene, aren't under arrest.

The conference sill be shown live at 1:00 PM ET (about ten minutes from the time of this post)

Update: Sheriff reveals the episode was indeed a hoax. "We (the sheriffs office) and the media were manipulated by the family."

Sheriff office will be asking D.A to file charges including "Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor", "Conspiracy", and "Attempting to Influence a Public Servant" - all class 4 felonies (max penalty 2 to 6 years plus monetary fines for each count).

Computers seized from residence last night. Emails to be examined.

No illicit drugs found during search.

Kids were involved - had "guilty knowledge" of event. Children will not be arrested.

Heene showed no remorse. Hoax planned for at least two weeks.

Child Protective Services to conduct investigation as to whether environment is safe for kids.

What a travesty all the way around....particularly for the children...
