Underground virbations have been "annoying" residents in the North West. The accounts are from Vancouver, Canada, Calgary, Canada, and Newport, Washington all within the last month.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/7b0d09d9f127.jpg[/atsimg]

First, from Vancouver: What's that mysterious rumbling noise we've been hearing?

South Vancouver Island residents are puzzled by a recurrent loud rumbling noise that some liken to the sound of a jet, and others to an earthquake

Then Calgary: Calgary neighbourhood's 'hum' puzzles noise experts

noise expert has confirmed the mysterious sound disturbing some residents of a northwest neighbourhood, but finding the source of the hum is proving difficult.

And today: In Newport, subterranean vibration blues

a phenomenon that nobody can explain troubles residents..
"It feels like there's a helicopter going over your house and I open the door and there's nothing."

It is also possible that whatever is causing these "mysterious" vibrations and noises caused this landslide. Massive landslide baffles state officials

The landslide that smothered a stretch of Highway 410 Sunday could be among the largest ever to hit a state roadway, but its cause remains a mystery

So whats going on underground? Tunnels? Bases? Does anyone live in the area that can confirm these rumbelings, or knows of other areas this is occuring?

I experienced the same thing around the Portland metro area a few year ago. The ground would vibrate and I used to think that it felt like mini earthquakes. This happened quite frequently and I used to check and see if there were earthquakes nearby, but the earthquakes were never at the same time as when I felt the ground rumbling.

However, the Northwest does have lots of earthquakes and not all of them are big enough to record, so you may not see them listed in the newspaper. Also, later on I figured out that the rumblings I felt were around the same time that Mount St. Helens was acting up. When the volcano was active from 2004 to early 2008, there were literally hundreds of earthquakes every day.

There is always something shaking up here.

I'm going to vote in favour of a very large being or craft moving very slowly beneath the earth or could be secret bases being built?

I wanted to add that after I re-read your OP, I remembered that on Sunday evening around 11 pm, I thought I heard a jet overhead or thunder.

After going out on the deck to explore further, I could not figure out what I was hearing. There are usually not planes overheard where I live and never at night. It was not raining and the sky was mostly clear, so I did not think it was thunder.

I lived in rural Clackamas County, which is southeast of the Portland, Oregon metro area.

It was a rumbling noise, just like described in OP and it was not an earthquake because it came from overheard. It was kind of unusual, but I have not heard it since.

Interesting! Sounds like that area is getting alot of noises/vibrations! Was this something new, or has it happened in the past?

P.S. I have been to Portland/Lake Osweego, absolutely beautiful place

I hesitated to write this - as I'm not at all sure what it is I am hearing.
I have gotten up 3 times in the last month to see what is flying over us -
nothing there. Last night was one of the nights. I am in Southern Ca.
It isn't a shaking - it's a loud rumbling -
like a helicopter, jet that is too close or a large truck.
It doesn't happen during the day - only at night.
Just putting it out there.
It is likely not what you are all experiencing there -
but it is strange and unusual for here.

Wow, looks like this loud plane sound is happening along the west coast. Wonder what it could be? Looks like they all could be talking about the same thing the previous posters have expierenced.

I think I should chang the name of the thread to "What's shaking the skies of the North West"

I heard the same thing here in S.W. Iowa about,im gonna guess 2 weeks ago. The sky was clear, and i heard what sounded like an earth quake but from above,or what sounded like the sound barrier being broken several times over. Two of these i heard, and im going to say they lasted a few min each, and no visible craft in the sky.

Has anyone bothered correlating the witness testimony alongside USGS data?

It might turn up something interesting... or not.

could it be yellowstone getting ready? possibly a man-made reason behind pushing it to go.

or the whole fault line that runs under cali north and south could be ready to slip big again.

possibly tunneling, but i think it would be 24 hrs a day everyday for that.

the earth is strange place that we only think we know everything about.

Mystery Rumbling Noise Stumps Capital Region

He sometimes hears it 3-4 times a day, and he's not alone. People all over the Capital Region have been asking the same question: what IS that noise? It's louder in some areas than others, and more annoying. "Yesterday morning before work about 9:15am it was deafeningly loud, scary loud. It sounds like a continuous explosion with rockets attached to it" says Fairfield resident Robert Jeanes.

There has been some speculation the noise is originating out on the water, where the U.S. has been conducting seismic testing. But 'A' News contacted the Living Oceans Society Wednesday, which says the testing should now be complete, and it would be unlikely to make such a racket in Victoria anyway.

Add Victoria to the list of areas hearing this "mysterious rumbleing"

There seems to be an awful lot of earthquake activity and landslides going on lately.

I could give you some scriptures where the LORD God said He was going to shake the heavens and the earth. Now of course the things we are seeing in the physical world are given scientific explanations, but we were forwarned that they would happen.

I hope and pray that more people would read the scriptures and ask Jesus for wisdom, knowledge and understanding of His word.

Researching all of the changes occuring, from fish, bird and wildlife die offs, to droughts, flooding, earthquakes, fires, volcano's, landslides, typhoons, hurricanes, wars, famines, pestilence, diseases, no peace left on the earth, politcal dissatisfaction.. You name it, we got it.

Sounds like the book of Joel, Matthew Chapter 24, Revelation, Jeremiah 25, and lets look at what Isaiah says in chapter 24

The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgresson thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

Hmm.. Maybe that is what is happening and we are seeing the results of this prophecy come to pass, eh? Look up for your redemption draws near?

I pray for the unbelievers. I pray that more people will turn to Jesus Christ, because people I know the scriptures and I have been watching and researching and warning people that these days were coming for over 15 years. I no longer say it is coming, I now say IT IS HERE!

Asking if anyone else has the same thing- Missouri in the central area is experiencing these, plus persistent loud booming noises without any explainable source, even the local television stations have done articles on the booms, which are quite loud and often shake the house, always at night though. Nope, no rock quarries doing any blasting around here at night either, I checked. Weird been goin gon for about a year now.

This is the best I an find so far. From IRIS Seismic Monitor

This is supposedly all the earthquakes over Mag 4 in the U.S. in the last 30 days.

I get this rumbling pretty much very night at around 11:30 pm. It bugged me for ages, it makes half the house vibrate.

Then i found out what it was, next doors tumble drier

(obviously this is not the cause of the rumbing in this thread, although it is quite loud, I don't think it'll cross the atlantic....)

Your US airforce base on Whidbey Island is within ear shot here in Victoria and I know they are using an alternate runway right now so that could explain some.
