ATS Yorkshire in da house! - we live in a historically active UFO hot spot - so if anything is seen we should share the info and try and corroborate each others sightings.

Could be the start of something good

Fortunately Colne is technically still apart of Lancashire, and I'm from Burnley to begin with!

But yes, sorry to get off topic. But is nice to know we're not alone, pun intended.

To the chap from up the road. Look in the direction of Burnley, maybe slightly to the left.

There's an object, could well be plane, hovering and flashing in very strange formations. It can't be but 100 feet off the ground. I'm placing it directly infront of you if you look to Burnley. And it's REAL low. To the point it's dissapeared behind the hill line.

It's the exact same area I saw a fleet of helicopters just the other week.

HOLY SHIZZLE. Are you looking? Another object just took off at Snip ridiculous speeds. I could have sworn it was a shooting star if not for the fact I saw it stationary!!!

look out of your damned window man from Trawden

I just moved to the very top of Richmond, N. Yorks, and the view is stunning - but disappointingly, not one sighting yet
I can see at least 8 miles, over the Army Garrison and beyond, and have almost 180degree pure sky from my south facing windows.... but so far squat - not for lack of hours spent looking.

I still have high hopes and am waiting for a cash injection so I can set up a perma cam as the view is amazing.

Do you mean Pendle, Lancs? i.e. the witch hill? or is there on in Yorks too?

The skies are clear as a bell here in Harrogate, just had a smoke and checked it out.
Its a top notch skywatchin night out there

Lets hope Harrogate is on their flight schedule !!

Nobody really believes you when you tell them, and even with photographic or vid evidence the skeptics still won't believe !!!
But there is something happening here in Yorkshire.

It's OK mate I get you lol. Unfortunately I'm in a bit of a valley here and my vision is obstructed in that direction, but still, this had made me somewhat more concious and I'll be sure to keep my eyes on the skies more often from hereon out.

Anyhow, well done for spotting them and informing ATS as soon as you could, like you said if I'd have seen the thread sooner we could have had some corroboration and maybe even some pics! That's whats great about ATS we have very long arms!

Yep, Pendle, Lancashire. Right next door to West Yorkshire.

And Jesus Christ, I'm not lying when I say the military are having a field day tonight. Waiting for the member from Trawden(about a mile from me) to watch the sky for a while and cosign what I've seen, hopefully

Im near Buxton, a bit south of the Pendle area but it might be worth me staying up overnight incase UAVs decide to join the "Joint Warrior" operations. Looking out its a clear night so it'll be hard to distinguish military aircraft from civil (though military fighters will be easily recognisable from the noise.)
I'll spend a few hours skywatching into the night incase anything occurs.

Well my eyes are well and truly peeled... It's teeming with stars but thats about it.

RAF Leeming is about 4 miles away and the jets are constantly over here, so if there's anything suspect I'm sure we'll be seeing them about.

I can't unfortunately. It's a clear night upwards, but seems pretty foggy/cloudy on lower ground. Plus there's a giant tree blocking a real view of Trawden that I can't get around unless I run 100 yards down the street in my boxer shorts

OK i think its just a star and i got over-excited but my webcam is pointed out of my window recording so if anything flies past itl probably capture it

I'm in Nelson (Near Colne, Burnley) and saw one of these orange lights whilst walking the dog tonight.

It flew from behind Pendle Hill (i realise that 'behind' is relative) above where I was and then out of sight.

It was moving very fast (took only 30-40 seconds to pass) and was completely silent.. very bloody weird. Glad I'm not the only one that saw these, signed up purely to share info

I'll be watching as this develops...according to a google search (how i found this) - this isnt the first time its occured either..

Even better---could we not set up our own ATS ufo spotting group for anyone who wants to partake in this rather trippy activity ???

Well I'm going out on Saturday night for some ET action !!!

the B6265 is a ufo hotspot road if anyone else is in the vicinity.

Welcome on board. I'm from Brierfield originally, used to roam the streets of Nelson as a kid.

Where were you walking your dog, the Hardplatts? Bit of a guess, can't think of many other places in Nelson to a walk a dog though

Its a very clear night too, only problem is I dont have much of a panorama out of this window only a small section of the sky, looking in the general direction of colne

Those orange lights are just awesome, so bright as well.

I saw 6 of them a few weeks ago, they can hover for such long periods of time and are quite beautiful .
What freaked me out though was how they could revert to a star shape and size so quickly !!

And whoosh----just vanish----

All we need now is a humvee and some assault rifles. Start our own militant UFO-hunting group.

Still looking out and haven't seen anything else other than the occasional aeroplane. Will definately have my eyes peeled. Though I should be working ony my bloody website, already wasted 2 hours watching the skys

You sure they weren't lanterns? I hate orange UFO sightings, especially when the UFOs 'hover'.

Much better when they travel large distances in a short time, like naffets sighting.

They're often mistaken as UFOs
