PLEASE STOP the BTS Mutter Madness! It canes my BandWidth!

Topic: PLEASE STOP the BTS Mutter Madness! It canes my BandWidth!

Explanation: I was originally a BTS member before I was an ATS member and I remember a time before Mutter when BTS was a joy to surf and partake in. Now its just pure HELL due to Mutter residing on the recent BTS threads page and also on EVERY single BTS thread page! I might surf up to 3 to 5 BTS threads at the same time and with Mutter on every BTS webpage that I have open and members Muttering away my BandWidth gets severely caned..so caned that in fact IE sometimes absolutely refuses to load any BTS pages at all including the main page which doesn't have Mutter! This forces me to use Firefox to access BTS and even then it chucks a hissy fit after about 10mins! I seriously propose either an opt in OR opt out functionality for Mutter so that members can continue to enjoy this wonderfull website with far less hassles. As a second option I offer up just removing Mutter from the all the BTS threads as that would leave just one page i.e the recent BTS threads page with Mutter sputtering away and I could close and open it as I so choose!

Personal Disclosure: I also use chat and it works just fine and with its already performing good status I'm totally puzzled as for the need for Mutter to even exist!

P.S. I'm quite anxious to read other members feelings concerning this issue as I'm quite sure many are not impressed with Mutter Beta at all! Also The Mutter Chronicals has never worked and so Mutter is just like the Mind Hole of 1984 fame! :shk:

Um I'm confused OL, I always see you in mutter alone talking to yourself? So if you dont like what you think mutter is doing to your computer then why do you mutter to yourself for hours then?

The mutter chronicles use to be accessable before but for some reason yeah it doesnt work...

I use Firefox and I have never had a problem with pages loading and I will have up to 7 tabs going. The only problem I get sometimes is the mutter box freezing or being blank but BTS and ATS pages load.

Yes I do use mutter...quite alot and yes I do mutter to myself..again alot!
But that doesn't mean that its not dodgy as! And If I hadn't tested it then I wouldn't have become wise to its dodgyness...Its a Beta and I accept that but that its intrinsically linked into BTS without any option for members to NOT to have to deal with its BeTanesS! Yes I merged BTS and betaness...cool huh!

Personal Disclosure: I often try out new things on both sides of the site i.e. ATS and BTS and I'm using this opportunity to give some official member feedback on this specific issue and I also hope that other members of like mind do the same.

P.S. For me currently IE and ATS go like a hand in a glove so no probs there at all. I myself [if I was using MY computer which is sorta toasty ATM ] would be totally using FireFox but I'm using a down spec D/L slave comp Optyk Phybah has lent me to use...I have to use IE then Firefox and finally I have Opera if I'm super desperate and in that order. I have absolutely no idea why those are this computers RULES I just abide and pray for it to work!

Gotta love it! (That's what my ISP does when too many paying subscribers log on at one time!)
