It does look like a type of hole punch cloud or cloud circle with the center filled in. those hole punch clouds normally seem to fill up after starting empty but you do also seem to get cloud like doughnuts

what has to be remembered is that although there is a meteorology explanation it is not a fact, just a theory and it is still a mystery. the questions being why are the same things seen in different cloud types and locations?

i have looked at this site that has some interesting ideas on these hole punch clouds and clouds that might be similar

www.xearththeory.com...

www.xearththeory.com...

read this site before but a new member so hope i have posted this correct according to the site rules

I remember seeing something similar to this when I was in Senior school ( high school for the Americans )

It was around 1997 and I remember pointing it out to my friend.

Hi guys, to me it seems like a strange cloud formation, but hey who knows right?

Anyway, didn't the GFL say that there was gonna be a light ship around Russia or something like that in the coming months? Cause it would be cool if this was the lightship!

Anyway, I don't know if it was in Russia or elsewhere, correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks!

what is the most likely culprit? following occams razor it's weather phenomena.

Whatever it is, it looks awe inspiring, both religious and UFOlogical communities have been inspired by it to think it's god or a UFO respectively.

But what if you are wrong Ozz? what if it really is an independence day/Signs style craft, what if this was proven..what would you say then?

It never hurts to be open minded.

I would humbly withdraw what I said.

Although on this occasion, given that it is typical of a normal hole punch cloud, the only thing that would sway my mind is if the UFO materialised in the video.

Plus all the russian meteorologists observations actually back up the hole punch idea too

I do feel that the natural explanation fits best, but this is a very interesting example of the phenomena.

thanks for your input.

Yes, this video is definitely awesome. Please see my post,” Hologram for Project Blue Beam Successful?’
I believe they are related.

Sup

I've been reading the youtube comments, and one thing not mentioned here is the UFO that appears in the video (a small black one, not the alleged cloud) in the upper right quadrant of the video, around second 4.

Considering the video is in reatime, the speed of the UFO in my opinion rules out the possibility that it is a bird.

This hole punch cloud got me thinking. I wonder if this cloud looked like the one at Chicago Ohare UFO when it cut through the 1900 foot cloud layer?

That is one beautiful yet scary video.

Hey Oz, i just heard on the news about that weird cloud in Russia, and I'm not trying to discredit you at all, actually i think our weather man doesn't know what he is talkin about, or, he just explained it differently. Anyway, he said it was just multiple fronts intermingled or something to that sort. What do you think?

Remember D4RK KN1GHT thread about the "event" starting in 2009, with strange lights and formations being seen above cities? (His thread was created back in 2006)

..Maybe, just maybe others should've paid close attention

All of the hole punch pictures provided appeared to be holes in the cloud layer.

This appears not as a hole but a ring with a circular cloud formation in the center.

Does anyone have a picture like that? They seem very different phenomena...maybe just a variation of the hole punch cloud.

Sure does look like a UFO though!

No, he's right

The difference is, that he was talking about the weather patterns and the possible causes of the cloud.

I was simply stating what it was

Oz, I respect that you are acknowledged as the go-to guy/gal (new to site) on strange weather occurences and everything thing I have read your knowledge in metorology is second to none on this site. i.e. HARRP, high alt. water content, energies required to do whatever, etc. But, I have flown commercial aircraft for 15 years. In that time I have flown in, over and under almost all clouds (expection being standing lenticulars). I have flown through cirrostratus virga with a deck of alto-stratus 5k to 15k below and have never seen a hole of any shape. I have seen a single round hole in low scuddy layers around a power plant in the middle of winter. But to accept that a series of fronts caused this, with all the mixing of the atmosphere going on, repeatedly, would cause a altostratus layer(guessing the altitude) with a perfect circle in it; and that it is due to ice crystals in the jet stream? Come on. For those who don't know the jet stream normally runs at an altitude of 25,000 to 45,000 feet (depends on latitude/temp/fronts and season and the wind velocity is in excess of 75kts(x1.6 for km/hr) approx. No disrespect is intended, but should I believe my own eyes or what you have learned and accepted from other meterologists?

Well, I tthink the best avenue would be to reseach the weather balloon soundings and data, to corroberate the exact conditions right for a hole punch cloud to occur...

There's a thread just started where we might be able to do this actually

Is that my intro, OZ? I'll try not to assume too much, but I'll go ahead and drop the link for it right here:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

That should do nicely and thanks again, OZ. You're Dinky Die in my book, mate!

Cheers,

Erik
