Also, if you want to watch a cam from fiji, the better one to look at would be the Malolo cam, (Mamanuca) as it is exposed towards the epicenter. The default cam, Suva, is on the opposite side of fiji from the epicenter.

Yeah nvm, it looks ok tome now aswell. Good thing to, I'd hate to see anymore loss of life due to tsunamis, had enough of that.

That isn't a tsunami, it's small breakers on a shallow reef.

I agree...the only reason I though it might be was due to the reports on twitter. I intitially said it was waves on a reef

BBC just said at 01.32 gmt they have been informed the Tsunami alert has been lifted.

And that the earlier USGS information by live interveiw as posted, of three quakes is now been classified as Two not three.

Thank God.

Can we please get a really huge massive ala San Fracisco here in CA? I really don't want to go to work the rest of the week!!!!!!!!!!1

In all seriousness, I really wonder why CA has not been affected by all these quakes. NOT ONE! Maybe "they" are looking out for west coasters for whatever reason.

Just sayin'...as far as SoCal and Eq's go as of late...

But my that is quite a tangled ~web~ of plates and faults between the two ~hot spots~ in the past week +... wonder if a collapse is possible?

With these major shocks not far from Iron Bottom Sound, I wonder if wrecks will shift/collapse, spilling fuel oil that still remains in intact tanks. If so, there could be damage from spills as well.

EVALUATION

SEA LEVEL READINGS INDICATE A TSUNAMI WAS GENERATED. IT MAY HAVE
BEEN DESTRUCTIVE ALONG COASTS NEAR THE EARTHQUAKE EPICENTER. FOR
THOSE AREAS - WHEN NO MAJOR WAVES ARE OBSERVED FOR TWO HOURS
AFTER THE ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL OR DAMAGING WAVES HAVE NOT
OCCURRED FOR AT LEAST TWO HOURS THEN LOCAL AUTHORITIES CAN ASSUME
THE THREAT IS PASSED. DANGER TO BOATS AND COASTAL STRUCTURES CAN
CONTINUE FOR SEVERAL HOURS DUE TO RAPID CURRENTS. AS LOCAL
CONDITIONS CAN CAUSE A WIDE VARIATION IN TSUNAMI WAVE ACTION THE
ALL CLEAR DETERMINATION MUST BE MADE BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES.

NO TSUNAMI THREAT EXISTS FOR OTHER COASTAL AREAS ALTHOUGH SOME
MAY EXPERIENCE SMALL SEA LEVEL CHANGES. FOR ALL AREAS COVERED BY
THIS CENTER...THE TSUNAMI WARNING AND WATCH ARE CANCELLED.

THIS WILL BE THE FINAL BULLETIN ISSUED FOR THIS EVENT UNLESS
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE.

Final from the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center

I don't notice it. . .I mean, if there was a threat, wouldn't they know that it was coming instead of canceling the warnings?
