The UK goverment did exactly the same thing to the outgoing army cheif General Sir Peter Dannat, an extremely popular guy with the troops and public
because he told it how it is and really fought for the troops. Towards the end, the labour goverment tried to create a smear campaign against him,
telling lies about his personal expenses but the disgusting lot got caught red handed!
If you send guys to war, you send them to win and that means they get all of the kit and resources they need. And if the current administration doesnt
have the will to do that, even though they are keeping the troops there, still dying etc, then they need strung up because they have a duty of care to
the troops and the families they leave behind. In fact imo its criminal negligence.
And as for the sedition comment, OMG! That is powerfull language to be using against a long serving senior officer with whoms integrity can be trusted
a million times more than any in DC!
In fact he was mentioned in the UK papers today and was praised to the hilt by Sir Peter.
