Out of curiosity, because I don't live too far from the Showgrounds, can anyone tell me what the three relevant frames might be? I just chanced upon it while browsing YouTube.

I am not a video expert, anything can and will fool me. I have no skills analysing images beyond using MS-Paint to resize/skew and cut/paste.

I'm wondering if it's a bug that's close to the lens of the camera?

You can see the freeze frame at 2:20 into the video.

The video was taken during this year's Melbourne Show, during late September. It's taken on the train station platform, which is why there are lots of people milling around either coming or going by train.

video is not working, will edit my post when fixed

edit: wow looks pretty impressive. Might be the real deal.

Only thing that makes me suspicious is that the camera man is pointing his camera conspicuously high toward the sky when there isn't really anything to film . . .

Yeah, I fixed the link... sorry.

It's probably a crud video, so I'm happy for someone to prove it.

Certainly nothing to get excited about. It's just unusual for me to see a YouTube UFO video taken reasonably close to home!

I am not sure what it was,but i don't think it was an insect!

It seems to me,not to be moving in a straight line, directly in front of the camera, but seems instead to be moving into the distance, starting closer to the camera, and ending further away from it.

That's my perception anyway!

Looks more like a bird than a bug to me.

The first frame could show what looks to be wing.

Also, it doesn't look like anyone noticed it either.

He might be pointing at one of the taller rides inside the show grounds. There's a fairly large ferris wheel inside, a chair-lift and often larger inflatable displays.

Anyway, it's only for my curiosity that I'm asking... I'm not particularly overwhelmed by the video, I just want an opinion about what it could be.

Thanks for viewing, dude.

Whatever that was, it seemed to be travelling incredibly fast. When I first watched the video, I thought the "black dots" were just marks from a poor quality video recorder/digital camera. Not so sure now.

For those unable to see the object, and who only have basic programs:

Let the video load in full. Then pause it and move the ball to 0:23. Keep double clicking the play/pause as fast as you can and take note of the small black object that appears during the 0:25 mark. It does not last long so keep going over the time 0:24-0:26 very slowly.

it's a bug.

These animations are taken from movies in my holiday, and here are presented with only 1 / 3 of the real speed. They zipped on the frame just like in the OP.

Yer I see them all the time over Melbourne, but there really movin! I think there's a base near in Antarctica and there's one in Alice Springs so they would be flying over Melbourne on the way to Alice.

Nice find!
