Odd Markings In China... Signal to passing space craft?

Odd Markings in Xinjiang (Sinkiang) Region

Somewhere deep in the Chines Desert... there are these odd white lines painted onto the desert floor. They make no sense whatsoever. They cover a large area and look freshly painted

Area A White Lines
40°27'02.68"N, 93°44'37.82"E







So... what do you think they are?

OH and before yawl go screaming PHOTOSHOP... here is an older one that has mud deltas over top of it. That whole area has interesting stuff... Kinda like the Nellis Bombing Range but these patterns are weird

My guess would be that they are starting some kind of construction work and these may be the roads or some way to a underground facility.

I'm still screaming photoshop, even that last image looks superimposed, just not with 100% opacity. The lines are too crisp for the height of the camera.

Very odd find Zorgon, star and flag! I cannot wait to see what they turn out to be! I wouldn't even know where to start trying to find out, it doesn't look like any type of construction zone I have ever seen, obviously it isn't any type of irrigation, is this photo from google earth?

edit to add: Looking again at the photo's they do look a little like the gully lines that you see on the left, like the lines are coverd up. Perhaps it is some method of keeping the area from being washed out

There is also a Chinese 'HAARP' on that area, but they call it CRIRP



The area is huge and full of weird stuff... maybe twice the size of Nevada...

Im going to say that the images in the original post are army training grounds, team based land tactics utilizing capture and control scenarios.

First couple could well be satellite calibration markings.

The circular one is a target with blast fences set up round it and three planes near the centre - although they seem very close together.

I'm guessing the tower could be some form of ATC guide into what is obviously a bombing range nearby - hence the runway layouts/craters etc.

And again, the last photo seems to be a target that looks like its had a couple of hits scored on it.

Me, I'm suprised you missed the bunkers further over, and what looks lile some kind of missile launching site

My Goodness, they all look so similiar, perhaps they all hide the same sort of thing...

And also: they are all in the near vicinity of the area you termed 'underground'.

If you use the feature on Google Earth that lets you look at old satellite images of the same area you can see that the funny white lines are being constructed in April 2005.

You can see the construction in most of the past images.

It all looks very strange, the runway looking things look very odd.

Ok, I think this bit looks really weird!

I followed one of the roads leading out of the area, and look what it comes to, some weird gate?? You can see that the road goes inside the middle part of it. Odd, here is a pic and the location:

*Note: I should point out that some will probably try to argue that this area is not censored/intentionally obfuscated, and will ignore the fact that censorship can be accomplished by using older, lower quality images in place of more recent higher resolution/quality images wherein more detail can be discerned. They may also ignore the other incidents where google has actively cooperated with governments to hide certain areas. I think Zorgon has some good examples of this. (Hey zorgon - could you please post a couple for us?)

Thus far over five camouflaged buildings/locations have been posted on this thread, so an effort to conceal is being made. Whilst this may be a case of coincidence, the odds are certainly against it being so; based on the evidence.

And this is not a bad thing. Not all conspiracies are bad; especially when it come to protecting secrets from the prying eyes who scan google earth. Google conspires with us to conceal certain sites, so it should come as no surprise that other nations (even Asian ones) also enter into such conspiracies with google to have their sites concealed from our prying eyes - Using older or lower quality images to do this is a less conspicuous manner to hide things, and there will always be those helpful few who are willing to argue that such concealment is just a result of coincidence; irregardless of the evidence.

...But there is always a slight chance they may might be right.
