I'm sorry you have suffered.
I certainly don't mean to minimize it but, in practical terms, one must start somewhere. The longest journey starts with just one step.
You can't change your past, but you can change your future. I urge you to focus on happy thoughts and avoid reflecting too much on sad things or
unhappy times.
Maybe start a journal. Each day write down one unhappy feeling you are experiencing - just to get it out in the open - but also write down two or
three happy things that happen, even if they are silly or small things.
At a low point in my life I read Rick Warren's "A Purpose Driven Life" it helped me immensely by explaining the importance of realizing that my
life's journey is not all about me or my feelings. Maybe it can help you too.
