Taking Chavez's opinion on the world of politics is akin to listening to a paedophile on the benefits of raising a child.

Alright, perfect, so despite the fact that not one part of my post had anything to do with Chavez's opinions of world politics, you completely ignored 100% of it.

Maybe because you have absolutely no way to debate anything that I mentioned?

At least everyone reading this thread and it's progression will see your failure of action and realize your ignorance as I did the first time you opened your flap.

OK....I see your point, but just remember that Canada in right next door and is in the sights of the NAU and the NWO agenda. So, take this as advice.....be kind with your comments, for the people you scorn today, may have your backs tomorrow.
AND EVERYONE PLEASE QUIT REFERRING TO THE USA AS A DEMOCROCY, IT IS A REPUBLIC. NOWHERE IN THE CONSTITUTION DOES IT READ ANYTHING OTHER THAN A REPUBLIC.

I will not waste time defending the US to someone who has already made their point clear.

This thread is about Chavez.

If you wish to start a bash america thread, I'll be sure to participate. Although having a rational debate with someone so irrational might prove difficult at best.

Exactly, this thread is about Hugo Chavez, and since people like yourself want to completely ignore him to buff your own ignorance.

I am going to stand fast on the amazingly relevant point I am making. And I will continue to hold the belief that the reason you will not debate it, is because you cannot.

"The facts. Stick to the facts."

Just because the facts of your reality are unpleasant in nature, and contradict what your brainwashing has taught you - does not mean this is a "bash America" thread. I am just doing a beautiful job at highlighting your ignorance.

Thanks for preaching to the choir. You need to invest 5 minutes of your life into reading my thread Your Number ONE Enemy, you'll never guess who.

If a country has one group of people in power for almost 100 years, is it a democracy? Is it a republic?

If a country allows corporations to shape public policy in a way that benefits only them, and not the common man of the land, is that a democracy? Is it a republic?

If a country does not allow a free election, where all nominees are given an equal platform to present themselves, is that a democracy? Is it a republic?

If a country completely ignores the popular opinion, and instead conducts itself to benefit a handful of corporations, and internationalists, is that a democracy? Is it a republic?

Nope. That's a fascist dictatorship. To ignore the well documented evidence that proves that point, is ignorant, but again - it is not your fault.

And the reason why you should read my thread, is because it highlights the problem with ALLOWING people to continue to be intentionally ignorant.

It is these people that have ALLOWED the complete removal of rights and freedoms, it is these people that have ALLOWED illegal wars, and millions of dead innocent people. It is these same people who WILL NOT BE PREPARED, when the # hits the fan, and thus will not have your back in that case. They will be the enemy trying to survive, desperation forces people to do terrible things, and these ignorant people will be the most desperate soon enough.

I will not take a position to garner popularity, I will take the position that is right. Whether people hate me or love me for it, so if people want to continue to spew their ignorance on this forum I will speak up against it.

Maybe you guys should go live in Venezuela and then tell me about how much you like Chavez. Or live in just about any other southamerican country and tell me what do natives think about Chavez... he is a disgrace to democracy, a criminal and a thief. I know what I`m talking about, and IMHO everyone but one in this thread don´t.

Thanks I was about to ask if any one really knew the truth about this guy. Since the US media has been owned by the Fed since 1917, you can not trust anything they say except for the Sports Scores!

I don't see how your world view fits the "Deny Ignorance" motif here since you seem to show a lot of party-line ignorance in your posts.

When will you realize that the people who make you hate Chavez are playing you like a puppet?

Well at least you have something over mikerussell.

I don't even support Chavez but I will consider his views because that's what an open-minded person does. I do think he's too reactionary and paranoid to even bother paying attention to. He enjoys stirring up the same people he blames for his woes but he had no problems with sending heating oil to needy Americans.

I don't view Chavez as a threat anyway.

Yes Chavez was the same guy who raises a ruckus about US imperialism in Latin America then after his buddy in Honduras gets the boot asks the US to help reinstate him
So basically a man decides he knows whats best for his country and decides to say screw the process, I'm staying in charge
That's fine with you guys? All Chavez is, is another power hungry little dictator
Seriously it makes me sick to see people knocking the US for being power hungry, but in the same breath say how great a man is who obviously is power hungry himself.

The movie "The Revolution will not be televised" certainly portrayed Chavez as a great leader. No sure after he teamed up with Jesuit Castro if I believe in the coincidence of a foreign film crew just happening to be interviewing him during the attempted overthrow some years back. I would certainly like to think he was allowed to talk straight to the UN. A little uncertain what is happening with him.
