Oh, and even IF Bob Lazar is an asset on this movie, that doesn't mean he has any creative rights. They can take his account and completely make it accurate, OR they could sprinkle it with Hollywood filler, i.e., SuperParaMilitary Govt. Reptilian Spies chasing him down Fremont St. - Eclipse, you really can't count on these people. I'm telling you.

Unless Bob Lazar comes out on camera or print himself and backs this movie, don't expect an accurate representation of anything.. It'll probably be a thriller type drama, designed to keep UFOlogy on the fringes of societal acceptance. Don't be so easily fooled.

Next week production will commence on Area 51. The film will have the "found footage narrative structure of his last film and tell the story of three teens whose curiosity leads them to the notorious Area 51 part of Nellis Air Force Base in the Nevada desert."

Earlier posts claimed this whole story was about Bob Lazar. If the above statement is true, you can bet that when this movie is released, you will find better film on teeth. What did they decide to just change the whole premise of the movie in the last 2 weeks? Jesus. How can you possibly give these people any credibility?

The premise has never changed...this topic is about the new Area 51 movie.

There is mention of a Separate, similiar movie called "S4: The Amazing True Story of Bob Lazar." 2 movies to be released in theatres, whereas for years, any theatrical production wasn't greenlit despite the intriguing subject matter.

And don't shoot the Messenger here Nightvision, I'm just relaying the news that most here have been eagerly anticipating.

And don't assume from my post & interest that I have any misconceptions about how the final film(s) could actually turn out...hopefully, they'll be as accurate as possible, but, there is always artistic license for entertainment purposes/make it enjoyable for audiences unfamiliar with the subject matter. The art vs. commerce conflict is true in every artistic endeavor.

Expect a lot more UFO movies to come out. My best guess is that ever since the media has learned the word "Conspiracy Theory", everyone has been googling it. They probably ended up here. If they're movie makers from Hollywood, then they want to tap our market for some cash.

Update:

"With the phenomenal success of Oren Peli's breakout debut film Paranormal Activity, it should come as no surprise that several candidates have sparked a bidding war. According to The New York Times, Peli's new film Area 51 has become a hot commodity with no less than six studios and production companies engaged in a bidding war for the film.

While it isn't clear which companies are in the running, since the bidding is still open, it was clear that Paramount is not on of the suitors.

"We are not in active discussions to buy Area 51, " said Katie Martin Kelly, a Paramount spokeswoman.

Area 51 is currently shooting in Utah, and it was said that bids for the film have been in excess of $10 million for the film, which was said has a production budget of around $5 million. In contrast, Paramount bought the rights to Paranormal Activity for about $300,000." - MovieWeb
