Did you know that those two colors are the most pleasing to the eye?

This is by "design," not some random BS
Some "advanced" being was being "thoughtful" by gracing us with this anomaly, so why are you STILL an atheist?

chicken and egg stuff, are they that colour because we find those colours pleasing or do we find those colours pleasing because they remind us of grass and sky?

also, they are not the most pleasing to everyone, i prefer the yellow of ripe grain to either of those two colours, it's got to be a fairly personal thing..

God doesn't stop wars, rape, paedophilia or diseases like cancer, Aids and so on.
He is a cruel and sadistic god.

Why are you STILL religious?

That's about as good as your argument.... in fact, mines better

Green: The ground is green and from the ground we get food, the ground gives us crops that keep us alive.

Blue: The sky is blue and from the sky comes rain, this rain helps the crops grow and creates life on this planet. The blue sky is also where the sun lives, and we like the sun, it keeps things ticking over.

Its quite simple.

Thank God for Evolution

BMT- You know better, and I'm pretty sure I can locate the exact youtube video you got that from.

I think it was christopher hitchens elementary school teacher, who told him that the grass was green because it was most appealing to the eye, and could he dare imagine it being purple!

He called her a ******* moron.
Chlorophyll!

We are a small part of the universe, miniscule, the universe doesn't revolve around us

And your grade school teachers must be screaming right now.

Also, evolution may beg, that we adapted to make those colors appealing, since, well it's all around us! Just like michio kaku's eyes as he said had a particular slant and extra 'baggage' because of when his ancestors where in the ice age (he went into detail more).

lol, this has to be a spoof thread, unless your serious.

Ahhhh! You stole my thunder. I was just about to say that obviously those humans that preferred purple grass and orange skies died off. Most likely they were too depressed to hunt, gather food, and mate. Therefore they had no offspring and only the green grass blue sky humans remained. Evolution explains everything ya know.

If only, lol, god explains everything.

Evolution has a small candle, but no matter what, it can always let out a annoying sigh when someone says "aha well god did that".

I'm waiting for the OP to now retract the statement and say well see he designed us perfectly according to evolution... and on and on, till there really is no need for a god

Fair is fair, you posted the killer rabbit video before I got to it!

So what of those born with Blue-green color blindness? If blue and green are the most pleasing to the eye, why did your creator deny the ability to view them as they should be in some people? Then again, grass is a pretty color but so is Cholera under a microscope. Your point?

You cannot be serious with your argument. Did you truly think it through and still decided that this was the best and most logical theory you could surmise?

until the sky turns green
the grass is several shades of blue..

i have read that a lot of mammals that are mostly color-blind, can still distinguish between blue and green. seems like the beauty is meant for everyone.

Ummmm nooooo

The sky is blue because of a phenomen called Raleigh scattering, where the shorter wave blue light, is absorbed by the gases in the atmosphere, while the longer wave lights (eg rer, orange, etc) is reflected back into space.

Grass is green due to the content of chlorophyl in its leaves.

The reason Im still atheists is because of unlogical ramblings of religious fundamentalists like yourself. And I suppose you wont investigate this, bhut instead hide behind your own beliefs.

Here's a word of advice.....go believe you want and stop worrying about everyone else's beliefs.....and take your ignorance elsewhere

Really, I find black and red to be more pleasing. Blue is way to bright and green is OK, but reminds me of vomit or baby poop. I'm sure anyone who's had a few kids of their own can appreciate that comparison. Why would god want me to enjoy the color of baby poop? Sick twisted ba....

So why did your christian god take away some peoples ability to see color? Sounds pretty *&^%ing stupid to me.

We all have lungs, too.

Surely if this was all by random chance, humans wouldn't have something as complex as lungs, and we'd all die of suffocation.

Actually they both suck equally. Just one's a illogical argument for and the other is an illogical argument against. Which you consider better is dependent upon your "side".

He didn't. Evil is the current ruler of this world, but only for a time. As for wars and such, God will not interfere with free will.

I'm sorry, which god? yahweh, zeus, apollo, allah, krishna?

Which one isn't interfering?

If you ask me, he ruins free will!

If you side with him, then you're life on earth is dictated, and you give up free will.

If you don't well his churches have say in quite alot of things.

I don't think there is free will in anything, we're all bound with restraints of one kind or another.

But you keep hoping for his return, it's been 2,000 years, so can't be much longer eh,!?

And if things ring true
He commanded us into Iraq!!! God the grear realtor and general!

Yup backwards and forwards have you? What on earth would make you think God commanded us to go to war? Only the brainwashed followers of St. Bush would believe that nonsense.
