I am not too familiar with this story, but would it not show some kind of negligence if there were these dangerous fumes present? It also says in the story that this is the first of several lawsuits, but why were they not combined in a class action suit?
Why was the government omitted as a defendant in this trial....there are a lot of questions left to be answered.

Not sure if this is exactly related but "that new car smell" is related to the same chemicals used during the contruction of new trailers so, it's okay for cars but not trailers?

... and most RV / travel trailers are built the same way, using similar construction materials and techniques as new homes, and both are subject to the same construction standards / regulations.

... and myself having worked for an RV manufacture for several years, most of our trailers were delivered to the owner immediately after manufacture (got to love those special orders,
).

... and no one has sued the manufacturer for said fumes or reasons since the conception of travel trailers, recreational vehicles and pre-fab housing.

Good judgment, IMO.
