So last night i had a dream that both of my parents died. i cant remember what from.. i just remember they died in my dream.

Ive never had a dream like that before and i literally woke up feeling sick and i was overheated and breathing hard.

Im not a dream interpreter.. but if anyone is and can shed some light on what that kind of dream might mean, id greatly appreciate it.

We tend to work things out during our sleep...imagine if we worked it out while we were awake.

I'd say you have some genuine concerns regarding your parents...as to what, only you can figure that out.

Be thankful it was just a dream...

well its just strange because i have a really great relationship with my parents and the dream just seemed so real it was really frightening.

i mean i remember it was a dream based on real life circumstances, not just some weird random dream. it seemed almost like i was glimpsing into the future.

normally it wouldnt mean much to me, because my parents are divorced and always lived on seperate sides of the country. but my mom just recently moved very close to where my dad lives. and there was some type of attack in the area and thats why it seemed a little to real.

If I had to guess, I would say that you are concerned about something in your life that affects your security. I think your dream parents represent security, and their deaths represent the fear of losing that security.

Maybe you are worried about losing your job, not getting a raise, or you're having trouble making ends meet, as most of us are these days.

Just a guess, but it seems to fit.

here is the dreammoods description of death...

if you can remember \\ANYTHING else from your dream like where they died. or where you found them dead. or what colors you saw in the dream. dreammood all of those items.. even look up mother, and father, they both mean something as well...

i also have a massive dream dictionary, but i use dreammoods more often.. but here is the description of death from my book for you.

to dream of seeing any of your people dead, warns you of coming dissolution or sorrow. disappointments always follow dreams of this nature. to hear of any friend or relative being dead, you will soon have bad news from some of them.
dreams relating to death or dying, unless they are due to spiritual causes, are misleading and very confusing to the novice in dream lore when he attempts to interpret them. a man who thinks intensely fills his aura with thought or subjective images active with the passions that gave them birth; by thinking and acting on other lines, he may supplant these images with others possessed of a different form and nature. in his dreams he may see these images dying, dead or their burial , and mistake them for friends or enemies. in tis way he may, while asleep, see himself or a relative die, when in reality he has been warned that some good thought or deed is to be supplanted by an evil one. to illustrate: if it is a dear friend or relative whom he sees in the agony of death, he is warned against immoral or other improper thought and action, but if it is an enemy or some repulsive object dismantled in death, he may overcome his evil ways and thus give himself or friends cause for joy. often the end or beginning of suspense or trials are foretold by dreams of this nature. they also frequently occur when the dreamer is controlled by imaginary stats of evil or good. a man in that stats is not himself, but is what the dominating influences make him. he may be warned of approaching conditions or his extrication from the same. in our dreams we are closer to our real self then in waking life. the hideous or pleasing incidents seen and heard about us in our dream are all of our own making, they reflect the true state of our soul and body, and we cannot flee from them unless we drive them our of our being by the use of good thoughts and deeds, by the power of the spirit within us.

I read recently that it's possible all those who appear in your dreams are aspects of yourself.

In which case those aspects of yourself that represent your two parents, perhaps the things you took on board as a child, etc, are reaching the point where you no longer need to continue operating under or within their confines.

Hmmm...I might take some agreement with this. Considering the fact that the parents died in the dream and the OP is now coming here to have other do what they should for theirself-- search inwardly for the answers they seek instead of authority.

calihan_12 knows the real answer. No other can provide a true one.

There is a theory that most of our dreams are our sub-conscious mind preparing and practicing for certain scenarios.
So it's possible that your mind is just practicing for the inevitable. There may be no deeper meaning to it.
