Hello Guys

I came across this accidentally while search for other timeline stuff. I couldn't remember seeing it and to my recall not on ATS.

I have looked at many of these in the past all on various websites its nice to have them in one place don't you think.

It would be interesting to get your comments on these.

I wonder if you have a favourite or anything particular to say about any of them - Personally I like the Kiev astronaut best it actually looks like a suit as we think of them and if its really 4,000 BC. then there is a lot to be answered.

That crystallinks.com source was posted in the 11th post down in this thread:

UFOs Have Been Here Since Ancient Times

So this thread may not be an exact duplicate, but it's pretty close. That link and these topics were discussed in that "UFOs Have Been Here Since Ancient Times" thread, so if this topic interests you, you may want to check out that thread.

I find it fascinating to try to figure out the intent or meaning of some of these ancient artifacts. I think some of them could have meanings we don't understand.

Unfortunately, most of what that page shows are not UFOs (besides the obvious things, like statues, that are not UFOs, obviously), so the real ancient reports of UFOs are usually drowned in misinterpretations of ancient paintings or wishful-thinking of the person that created the page.

Thanks ArMaP

Oh for sure I agree with you I don't take things as read. But I do find the connections interesting particularly the one in my first reply (3rd from the top)

Ancient Egypt Link with Australia - An Article by Paul White - 1996

Here it is for anyone interested

ArMaP was right, many of these "ancient UFOs" are misinterpretations projecting the desired object that the person wants to see. Although there are a decent amount of cases that are interesting to say the least. Not only in cave paintings but in stories passed down and some artifacts. Here is another thread that has a lengthy discussion on many ancient UFO related reports:

Three Clinchers For Proof of Alien Life

And here is another with a timeline:

UFO - Historical Sightings 45,000 BC - 9 BC

And a very good one by Skyfloating:

Ancient Aliens

And another, but this one more specific to Asia:

Aliens of Ancient China

**Note: A lot of these threads are very long, but the information is contained throughout them. All are good reads, but be forewarned, they are long.

There is something to all this IMHO, but there is still much to learn and understand. While I think we were indeed visited in the past by UFOs and their occupants there is not enough evidence to make anything concrete. Thanks for sharing...

The supposed links shown on that page look either too dubious (like the "statue" that looks more like a common rock) or made on purpose to look similar, making them suspicious, like someone copied an original Egyptian piece but changed some things to make it look less like a copy, they do not have a natural feel.

It does look a bit like a common rock but it apparently its not it is sandstone and so has worn

I find 'glorification of hte Eucharist' very interesting..the painting. was done in 1600, and notice how the 2 are holding/playing with a metallic object that closely looks like Sptunik! the first staellite to go into orbit. fascinating! sputnik was 1957..

Sandstone is a common rock, and it's normal for sandstone to have different erosion levels.

Being sandstone makes it even more likely to have been shaped only by nature.

I agree the sputnik thing is so far out of place in the painting its like someone leaving a message. If you were trying to make the locals at the time understand space or even a flying machine perhaps it would be represented as something to do with clouds which I'm sure they are sitting on.

Something flying above the clouds

It's not out of place, it's the "Creation Globe", something common in religious paintings, representing the creation of the universe. In this case we can see the Sun and the Moon.

Very interesting and thanks for posting
Kind of hard to explain most of those I think .

My favorite has always been that of the legend of Utsuro Bune :

I always found those drawings fascinating.

And what about the legend of Kaguya, the Moon princess, found inside a glowing bamboo? After all this one is supposed to have come from a Moon city, while this one was on the water.

Not familiar with it ArMap. Does it have more evidence to it than just spoken tradition?

Oh I see.. an attempt at cleverness ... Quite.

No, only spoken tradition, and one of the oldest (or even the oldest) Japanese tales, some 800 year older than Utsuro Bune.

And it's just one more example of a princess (or some other person) found inside something, like Momotarō, that was found inside a peach.

So where does reality ends and imagination starts?

PS: just because we have some drawings it doesn't mean is truer than a story without drawings, a UFO sighting can be truer than a fake photo.
