Just trying to get to know if I am the only one on these forums who:

  1. Is a Spiritual Atheist (Buddhist Philosophy)
  2. Knows 911 was an inside job.
  3. Loves Nature
  4. Knows there are Aliens and UFOs
  5. Doesn't believe in the news media.
  6. Knows that on 2012 the world as we know it will end for better or for worse.
  7. Knows that there is no Republican or Democratic party.
  8. Thinks most country music is for brainwashed individuals.

Or if I am alone on this.

I am with you on a lot of it, some... not so much...

A) I would definitely put myself into the spiritual Atheist category.
B) I at least believe that this is more plausible than the "Official story", but I don't presume to know anything that hasn't been proven.
C) I do have a thing for nature
D) Once again I will not state that I know this without being able to show proof, but I certainly believe that they are out there
E) I believe that the media has its purposes, but I certainly don't believe it all
F) This one I can't get on board with. The end of the World (for better or worse) is predicted nearly every year. I guess eventually someone will be right, but I haven't seen any proof that 2012 will be any different that 1999, Y2K, etc...
G) I agree with this for the most part. I think there are some fundamental differences between the parties, but their underlying goal are the same.
H) I happen to like country music, but I will say that your point can be argued against any music genre.

And the thing about the country music, its just personal opinion, I haven't gone through and dug up facts about it. To me country music is just as blatantly brainwashing brainwashing as Disney music, popular hip hop, and club hip hop, especially with songs like "She thinks my tractor's sexy" or "Redneck Girl".

No to 1. I don't know what that is.
Yes to 2 & 3.
Not convinced either way on 4.
Yes, obviously on 5.
Skeptical on 6.
Yes to 7.
To 8? country music makes me nauseous and thats a fact. Literally, nauseaus.

So, we're close but not quite.

ok, define "spiritual atheist" pls

how can you be spiritual AND atheist? or is that the same as "I believe in a spiritual wholeness but not in a creator"?
I'm not getting it

I did. "(Buddhist Philosophy)" just because someone says they are spiritual doesn't mean they are looking for a god. My sense in being "spiritual" directly relates to the Buddhist Philosophy that all mankind are gods in an of them selves, not a god in the sense of a mythological being but well it rather complicated to explain without using the entirety of a book to explain it. I however also know there is a science behind it, that science being Quantum Mechanics and Physics. Again, mostly what my sense of spiritual atheism is about my relationship with the Buddhist Philosophy.

Edit I hope you don't plan on turning this into a religious debate since there are other threads for that.

That sounds a lot of what I believe (sorta)
but I thought an atheist was someone who believes in nothing, not a god, not spirituality, only life>death>and nothing

edit: nope, not planning on turning it into a debate, I just didn't understand what was meant with the term "spiritual atheist"

Ya, especially after reading about "The Realm Inside Yourself".

No atheism is more about the rejection of organized religion and mythical god beings, I believe this brings, hence, 'A'-theism.

haha, If you don't want to debate, then don't post such statements!
I'll bite my teeth and shut up about the realms inside and quatum physics

besides that, you and I have an entirly different view on what atheism is.

Well you have baited me, what is your view on atheism? Simple atheism to me is well, plain and simple, I don't believe in a god.

I'm not an atheist, that's for sure. Most atheists I've met are sceptical towards anything that indicates that there is more to life, including spiritual topics. They do have an interest in those topics, even in religion, but only to debunk it. That's what forms my definition of "Atheism"

to answer your first post:

-Is a Spiritual Atheist (Buddhist Philosophy)
spiritual yes
-Knows 911 was an inside job.
the evidence is there
-Loves Nature
I certaily do
-Knows there are Aliens and UFOs
believes without personal experience on the subject
-Doesn't believe in the news media.
not a word
-Knows that on 2012 the world as we know it will end for better or for worse.
I don't know the details but something will happen and I hope it is for the better
-Knows that there is no Republican or Democratic party.
thinking about that
-Thinks most country music is for brainwashed individuals.
uh...

I would have to put my comment in a way i hope you would understand.

I'm an atheist from all religious directions, you have to read them all to see the big picture so in my view then its probably all just an alien experiment which answers you r question about UFO's....... Any advenced civilisation would be treated as gods by a lesser advanced culture.

Dont beleive anything you have been told but question why you have been told it. That includes the media.

Republican or Democratic, Labour or Tory, red or blue, same boss the same as the old one, blind leading the blind or is the history already written ?

And once again history repeats itself so lets make a religion to remind the folks 4000 years from now.....

2012 All of man will turn against God: Alien Invasion or Revelation ?

As for country music, probably all music, the cia controls the music industry.

link

When I make a new religion up, I will say that angels were playing their instruments trying to wake everybody up......

Well,
I say nothing is written in concrete.
You may think this way now,
Come back to this post ten years from now.
See then how you feel, think, and see things.

A building as a mind needs room to breath.
If you give no room to breath, you will suffocate.
To learn one has to be wrong, at least some of the time.
Give yourself room to learn.

Good luck to you.

LMAO about the country music statement..lol I could say the same for rap or any other type of music
No offense I just found that humorous, I think music in general at times is giving a message. Some musicians think like we do here on ATS and they do write about it in their songs.

As for the others yes I feel the same....I am not an atheist but I do like the spiritual side of things..I am not into organized religion. I personally think it's

2012~ well that has been my lastest obsession when it comes to reading. Its weird because I have had a lot of friends even my boyfriend ask me about 2012 out of the blue so I started reading more and more about it and I am highly at a loss to think what till happen. I dont think the world will end but I think it's the end of one time and the beginning of a new one. Something may happen but I am not sure what to believe. 2012 IMO will be a big year. So many people think the world will end and if you want something to happen like that it will! Its hard to explain how I feel about that but it makes sense to me and others I have spoken to. I dont think the world will end like in the 2012 movie. I see 2012 as a beginning of something new and better for all of the people of the world.

I believe in aliens and ufos
I welcome them to my area
,

I dont believe in politics they are all the same. Its like HS for adults imo.

Nature well I love it! I am an animal lover and I really enjoy being outside in it.

As for the news well its laughable! I mean last night my roommate was watching "his" news as I call it and one of the main headlines was about the first dog taking a crap on airforce one! I was like WTF THIS is news?! I mean I dont give a crap
if the dog poops on the plane. Dont they know there is real news going on out there and that the first dog doing his business should NOT make headline news?! I swear when I watch the news sometimes I just yell at how unprofessional they sound. NONE of who I have ever seen really knows how to talk on TV. They are horrible speakers and need to think before they speak....I usually have fox on in the morning in the background and its mostly for entertainment on my part. I dont know how some of those people got their jobs! Its horrible.
