Perhaps you would rather live with another super power, ... China, Russia anyone ??

I suppose it is the way of things, think of things a hundred years ago ?? people could blatantly get away with murder, things have been slowly tightening down for decades.

Government is Control. Nothing has changed over the century's, Cesar's and King's taking from the treasury.

some of the replies to this post, are just sick mean spirited jabs. Just cause you do not have the testicular fortitutde to oppose an opresser. Does it make you feel better, have you gained some part of your lost manhood by attacking the OP?

Something does need to do be done about our Govt, but all that can be done for now is to wait them out. Thier policies will continue to anger more and more people, people assume that we have to be in total agreement and cooperation on all issues to force a change in this country, but if we wait long enough for a majority to be united in one common goal the need for liberty. That will be all it takes.

You are they type of person that cowers in the corner cheering on the guys who throw shoes at the President or stands up to a Senator at a rally and tells him off.

The way I see it you have three options.

1. Take a harder stance and stop with the pussy footing at rallies.

2. Pack up and leave.

3. Stop belly aching and admit to yourself that you are going to take the abuse you think you are being subjected to by the government.

Which one you going to choose?

So you think I am not doing enough? What exactally do you expect me to do? Pick up a gun and start picking them off one by one?
If you have a constructive suggestion of what else I can do, tell me.

2. I am NOT going to leave My Country. I Love America.

I charge everyone here that goes to a political rally/speech to throw their shoe at them.

Many of you here go to these things, lets see if you have a set big enough to act on your words.

I got 100 dollars that says everyone that praises this guy is all talk. Each Presidential speech it will go up to 200 dollars.

Protecting the people in this country is one thing, but dictating what they can or cannot do/have is quite another thing.

Why not? You aren't allowed to have a bazooka (and your neighbor isn't either, in all likelihood). You aren't allowed (thank God) to manufacture meth in your home lab. Call it dictatorship, I call it good sense.

We are not talking about anything that would cause death or dismemberment to another.
This is not about weapons or drugs at all.
This is about Our Personal Freedoms being eroded by the Government.
When the government starts dictating health care and what I will be required to do with My Home it is a whole other game.
Protecting people is one thing.
Dictating how they live for no sensable reason is another.

Define freedom. If your car does not pass the inspection, is it a violation of your freedom that you aren't allowed to drive it?

I own a house, too. If there is a sane requirement to improve its energy efficiency, I'm all for it.

You can't have it both ways. If you want the govt to intervene in case A, be prepared to be on the receiving end of case B.

In the meantime, ask yourself why solar energy has been so successful in Germany.

I agree completely, I know I'll catch some flak over this comment but Americans are really arrogant and ISOLATED (they are told what they are wanted to know / think).

Coming from Canada, moved to the stated in my early 20's raised 3 kids and 2 wife's, moved back to Canada 27 years later ...... the US is really messed up, financially, politically and the general population has not the first clue what the heck is going on??

After I moved back here to Canada, my country took up for me medically as if I hadn't left, and the politicians are actually scared of the people, quite different from the states in both regards! they could care less about health-care for all, unless it makes someone (corporations / Insurance companies money.

Politicians could care less what people think there, it's obvious with what's happened over the years and more specifically here recently. and still the populace just cruises along like they are still a country in control... they just don't get it, the major industries have been outsourced, the financial backing (DEBT) is from countries like China and others, its just a big IOU now, and from the top down they are raping and pillaging all the way out the door..............

when the bankers and politicians get finished they will have taken everything that was worth taking. ohhhh and you will have to track them down on there islands and yachts scattered around the world.

This comment brings up something else I have also noticed living in the states, there is always a diversion away from the crimes of the bankers and politicians, and that either immigration (that they intentionally continue to stir and health- car / Social security, among other things but the whole time I lived there these were always the backbiting issues....

I agree with what you said. It is sad for me being an American to Try to get people to wake up and LOOK at what is going on. I don't understand the resistance, why would any of us Not want to Fight for our Country?Why aren't we all standing in front of the Capital building demanding we be heard?
I can't tell you how many people that I talk to agree that what is happening is BAD, but the response is mostly "ya but what can I do? They won't listen to me."
I keep saying no they probably won't listen to one man, That Is Why We Need To Stand Up As A People! But I get the same response, "It would be pointless, they won't listen."
A Lot of The people of America have given over all government control. We may as well be a comunist country what the heck.
I, on the other hand, and many others will fight for the Constitutional Government we are Supposed to have.
