Beck is a master manipulator. No. I don't like him. I don't like him at all. He uses people and plays on their emotions and would sell out in an instant. He thinks far too much of himself and is entirely self-absorbed. His arrogance is born out of insecurity.

I have made it a duty to avoid anything involving Glenn Beck. The guy is the persona of hypocrisy. Remember him crying on television? Nothing really wrong with that if it is sincere, but he later went on the View where Barbara asked him a question and he quickly got defensive about crying, despite Barbara's question having NOTHING to do with him crying on television. She did not even mention it until he did. This, to me, tells me he was ashamed of it, when normally people do not get ashamed about their own sincerity. Also tells me it was a lie as it goes along with his interest in trying to get in touch with his viewers by having the camera zoom in on his eyes in his campaign of sensationalism.
He is a suck-up. He interviewed Penn Jillette, who is a well-known Libertarian, and Glenn claimed he was the same, despite some, if not all, of his views clearly being more right-wing and conservative.
During the interview, he seemed to look up to Penn and seem smitten with him as well. Hate to use Bill O'Reilly, but at least Bill says what he wants and is not a suck-up unless Stephen Colbert outsmarts him by making Bill think Stephen is not mocking him.
The dumbest quote I have ever heard Glenn say is "I don't think he hates people, but...I think Obama is a racist." He said with such Oscar-winning nomination talent It is dumb because for one Obama is not a racist obviously, and two, when did racism come with love?
Did you see the chalkboard segments where he, in his anger, spelled oligarchy wrong?
On another segment he seemed like he was on drugs or had a sugar high.
On his radio show, he flipped out at a woman who was comparing Obama to Hitler or something.
While I do think those comparisons are stupid, is there a valid reason to act like a child and scream down someone?
It is like when people cheered about Barney Frank insulting the woman who compared Obama's policies to Hitler's. While it was funny, ("it's like talking to furniture" lol), it did not allow him to answer the legitimate question she had, excluding the dumb Hitler comparison.
I remember Glenn reported some news that spoke out against some bigwigs - I do not recall whether it was about 9/11 being an inside job or Wallstreet - but anyway, he later retracted the story.

Maybe, if people understood what journalism was supposed to be, it would be easier for them to tell the difference between an actual journalist and a talking head like Glenn Beck

I have yet to see you bare your full emotions in front of 5 million people.
And he was defensive because he was attacked on it almost immediately.

There are varying degrees of the political spectrum. Not everything fits into the perfect pegholes.

OReilly? Colbert?
Thanks for the laugh.

So you can sit on a chair for 20 years listening to racist filled hate speech, but not be affected by it at all?
Riiiiight.
You can always judge a man by the company he holds.
Did you see the chalkboard segments where he, in his anger, spelled oligarchy wrong?
OMG . . . HE MISSPELLED A WORD! SPELLING POLICE, PLEASE COME QUICKLY
On another segment he seemed like he was on drugs or had a sugar high.
He does get way hyper, and he does ave ADD. Nice try with insinuating that he is a druggy though.
On his radio show, he flipped out at a woman who was comparing Obama to Hitler or something.
If you would have heard the whole show, you would have understood why he "flipped." By the way . . . that is not flipping. I know you do not listen to his show. How do I know? I have heard him flip . . . and that is not it. He was simply tired of trying to cut through the BS (similar to how we have to cut through the "you're a racist crap now."
While I do think those comparisons are stupid, is there a valid reason to act like a child and scream down someone?
1.) If the shoe fits . . .
2.) Really? Did he throw himself on the floor and whine about it too? Please read above.

Her question had been answered multiple times before . . . ON THE SAME SHOW, JUST MINUTES BEFORE SHE ASKED!
I remember Glenn reported some news that spoke out against some bigwigs - I do not recall whether it was about 9/11 being an inside job or Wallstreet - but anyway, he later retracted the story.
It was on FEMA camps . .
But he told you that is what he thought, and you need to do your own research, and come to your own conclusions . . . as he always does. He specifically says not take his word for it.

I don't care what label you put on Beck he has still disclosed information the rest of the networks are not.
I don't understand why people have such a problem with this.

Now, I'm no Obama lover either, but I think it's fairly clear that while Bush was president Fox was the least trusted news source on ATS and now that Obama is the president Fox is a reputable news source and Glenn Beck is really fighting for our freedom.
