I wonder if Obama goes a day not wishing he had chosen someone else for VP? Say what you want about GWB, but Joe Biden is just an ignorant tool. And there are videos in the story to back up the claims.

Enjoy!

"Stand up, Chuck, let 'em see you. … Oh, God love you! What am I talking about? I tell you what. You're making everybody else stand up, though, pal. … Stand up for Chuck!"—Telling Missouri State Sen. Chuck Graham, who is bound to a wheelchair, to rise at campaign event, Columbia, Mo., Sept. 9, 2008

Thank you, I needed that laugh. Curiously, Joe "Who's Ridin'" Biden did have one quote that is so profound and so astute in how it could be utilized in a response to the question "From the far-left side of America, how do you think they would describe the first 9 months of the Obama administration?" that it almost deserves it's own category... That answer, of course:

"A successful dump!"—Explaining his whereabouts (dropping deadwood at the dump) to the reporters outside his home, Wilmington, Del., Aug. 20, 2008

I always liked Rush's edit of the audio to add rim shots.

My favorite from Joe's -isms is this one, referring to his future boss back in Feb 2007:

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said. "I mean, that's a storybook, man."

Yes, Biden makes many gaffes, and a lot of them are very funny, but overall I think he's intelligent and competent and makes a good vice president.

Obama himself would probably like to zip his lip sometimes, too.

Personally, I enjoy his "Bidenisms" and don't see anything arrogant or evil in his slip-ups and misspeaking. He's just not the elegant speaker Obama is and sometimes gets tongue-tied and clumsy.

"Slate" is very good at reporting things like this.

Some people will stop at nothing to try to get rid of anyone in Obama's administration, and I think that's why this thread was posted, but I see nothing sinister in Biden.

I think Colbert hit the nail on the head when he said that Biden was the "drunk uncle you always try to hide from the rest of the family."
