So, it seems that israel pulled the plug on the U.S. missile shield...if anybody had any doubts whether the israelis pull strings here, this challenges them, IMO.

That is an interesting and bold statement Khan, by any chance could you provide me some of the research you have supporting this claim? I am ignorant to this story and would like some more info! Thanks!

Have you ever looked at a map? The straights of Hormuz are barely 12 miles wide at the mouth. A childs intertube could be used to navigate accross it.

They blocked it before years ago in the 1980's after the 'accidental' shoot down of an Iranian Airbus 300 Comercial Airline by an Aegis Class American Destroyer. It required constant mine removal patrolls and military escorts to get Oil Tankers out of the Gulf at that time and that was just a case of 'unease' all out war.

How do you think missles with 500 to 1000 pounds of conventional TNT are going to stop 1,000's of light 20 -60 foot craft darting out of intlets, rivers and harbors with mines aboard and is going to stop them from junking and scuttling old water craft in the narrow passage?

You should read some history, study some real military tactics, and then some geography.

When everyone is paying 15.00 dollars a gallon for gas and lining up in lines 2 hours long just to get 5 gallons limited per customer can we send you the bill?

Hi Proto, I was going to leave it alone, but Your here! The Persian Empire historically has been the MOST INNOVATIVE in history, and strongly argued the largest ever, even surpassing Rome.

Cyrus the Great, Darius the Great, and Zerkses(sp) the Great did amazing things.

The modern elaborate gardens in parks all around the World, or those seen in pictures of Mansions all came from the Persian Empire.

Their Empire grew because they were not stuck in the mud with traditions, or ideologies. They improvised, and took the best from everywhere they went.

They were probably one of the only ever to pay all their slaves a fair days wage; everyday. This really set them apart in the ancient World from all other Empires.

Much of their engineering accomplishments have never been equaled. They built floating bridges from Asia to Europe; so they could attack the Greeks. This very accomplishment is highly regarded as almost impossible with today's computer technology.

My very point lays in the ancient accomplishments of these People; with today's technology We can come close to doing what they did thousands of years ago with nothing, but brain power.

ps. interesting note. It was Cyrus the Great that originally freed the Jews from Babylon.

First because the Jews were never ever imprisoned there.

Real Story Xyrus liberated Babylon from the Habiru.

Could it be perhaps that nobody is pulling anyone's strings, but the three sides (Russia, US, and Israel) are actually negotiating with each other, and wish to keep it discrete? Based on recent news there is more evidence supporting the idea that actual negotiations are taking place, rather than that somebody is on the fast track to war and is trying to play the others off against each other.
