I have scheduled a session with a hypnotherapist who has taken the classes offered by Dolores Cannon. The hypnosis session is intended to connect my higher self to the hypnotherapist for communication. I am to write out a list of questions that I would like to have answered. In situations like this, I draw a blank. The most obvious question is "What is my purpose here?" but I need to come up with more than just that. I would like to see what others would ask, especially the interesting people here at ATS, and possibly get ideas for my own questions.

So, if you had the chance at communication with your higher self, what questions would you ask?

at first i need to ask why you are going to a hypnotizer to connect HIM with your higer I for questions!? its a typical thinkin of people to search out of themself for answers... why? its tha easier way? I can tell u i had connected MYSELF with my inner children AND after this with my higher i!
and also i can tell u there are no questions anymore i needed to ask because was connected! it cam from itself!
I know its easier to go to a "self proclaimed" specialist and ask him but then you´re not ready for this quest!
don´t take me in the wrong way i´m always positive, but i know what im talking about. i helped a lot of people in that manner....

Actually I am intrigued with the work of Dolores Cannon and am interested in my own session to see what happens. I understand the idea of going within, and I am all for that, but this is something I want to do.

The hypnotherapist is not a self proclaimed anything actually. I will be her first non-friend/family member to take under, so we are both excited about it. As for the quest, I am prepared and waiting for it.

Thanks for the comments. I do agree with looking within, but doing this will be an interesting experience I hope.

I would want to know what I was supposed to do with my life.

I did something similar to this when I was in my early twenties. After my "talk" I went back to college got a degree, got married, got a good job, had a family etc. etc.

It was most beneficial.

I think I'd ask something similar. Like What's the reason I'm here? or What's my REAL role on this life?

I would ask what steps I should take to most efficiently achieve enlightenment. Or, in the frame of reference of my "higher self," become fully myself.
I would also ask if there is a predetermined life plan, or "script" and if my messed up life was evidence that I have deviated from it, or that it is "supposed" to be this way. If the former, I would ask if it were possible to rectify the situation, and if yes, how? I suppose I'd also ask if I had a "soul mate" and if so, who was it, did I already blow it with them, etc.

Great question, btw. S&F

I would ask "Am I still on the right path?" Or something to that effect. I'm in no hurry to meet my higher self, it will happen when it happens, if it happens. And if it does, I'll already know the answers to any questions I might have now.
Maybe I would ask if I chose a challenging enough life. Heh

I like your idea about asking about life having a script. I have added a question to my list now asking if things in life are predetermined, as in fate.

I have always thought that we had a main path in life, that branched out at times, but generally headed the same direction, but that it was possible to deviate enough to be headed in a different direction. The wrong direction, not necessarily, but maybe the goals for this life would not all be met by heading in another direction.

This should be interesting if I get any answers about it. Thanks!

Me: "You think we could meet some times, maybe over an ice cream cone?"

Higher Self: "...mmmmm-NO."

Me: "You are such a bastard."

Higher Self: "I did not exactly choose to be a bastard, Napoleon."

Me: "Yeah whatever. For the sake of politeness, can we meet halfway?"

Higher Self: "Sorry, your session has been disconnected. If you would like to try again, please hang up and try again."

me: "Being a pessimist sucks."

I believe that we can gain quite a bit of insight if we can connect with our higher selves. I raise two kids on my own, work and go to school, so it is hard for me to get much quiet time, and when I get it I am usually too tired to do much. Otherwise I would try devoting time and energy into meditation to try to connect with my higher self. I have read a lot of the Dolores Cannon material and believe her technique to work and be legit. I hope that this will be a positive experience and will enlighten me at least a little bit. I am choosing to pursue this at this time because I feel it is right, and I do not believe I would make a connection to my higher self any other way. If you want to make a connection like that, you might have to make it happen instead of waiting to see if it happens. But if its not that big of a deal, then waiting is right for you.

I like your question asking if you lived a challenging enough life. I have always wondered if I am accomplishing enough of what I am here to accomplish this life. I lived a very sheltered life up until a few years ago, and these last few years have been full of so many great experiences that I never thought I would go through. It makes me wonder if I wasted all of the prior years or if I was suppose to live like that. Maybe I would have died or something if I wasn't so sheltered, and I was not meant to die yet, so I was sort of guided into being like that. This whole life thing is so interesting, and there are so many levels that we just have no clue about.

What questions would you ask your higher self?

How tall are you?

Can you see me from up there?

Do other Higher Selves complain about you lower self?

Is Omniscient Benevolence as big a bummer as I think it is or is that just ego placation? Sorry.....two questions at once. Didn't mean to do that Your Imminent High Stuff......ahem.

Do other Higher Selves have emotional issues? It must suck when One throws a fit! Whole Worlds destroyed in a single Hissy!

Are other Higher Selves as Supremely and Lovingly Benevolent as mine? I hope not. I wanna corner that action and sell it for big Higher Self profit!

Is there still Capitalism up there or are we all just peaches and cream doin' that Socialized Oneness thingy dealy?

Do we still have sex? Cosmic Orgasms? Talk about your "shooting stars" Humma Humma Ding Ding!!

On a more serious note, Will my Mother-In-Law have to be with me?

Did Michael Jackson catch a ride on the same UFO I saw with Elvis, Sinatra and Sasquatch as passengers going to Zeta Rectum I Lie or whatever? Just curious....

Who really ate all the Cracklin' Oat Bran?

Is Walt Disney's Higher Self up there as just a floating head? (not to be confused with some cosmic toilet tumbling ignorantly through the vacuum of space)

Is that little, short Martian Guy ever going to follow through with blowing up the Earth because it obstructs his view of Venus? Is that bad?

What exactly did Teddy Roosevelt mean by the term "Rough Riders"? Isn't that a porno? Just crude, really...

These are all of the burning and pertinent questions I have for this A.D.D. riddled 10 minute block of time. Gimme another ten and I may have more. I dunno. Questions always leave me with answers I never wanna hear. Ech!!

Cheers to you Higher Self! And thanks in advance to any cool extra revelations you might have layin' around. I could use a couple new ones. My old ones broke.

Erik (your lowly, dorky self) *snick!*

I would ask her which god is God.

I would ask her if the shape of my past was ALL my own doing.

I would ask where I best fit in the world now.

I would ask how much longer before I leave this body.

This is actually one of my questions. "Is it possible to know when the date or even just the year that I will leave this life?" It will be a very interesting answer if I get it, but I believe that although we may be on certain timelines, the future is never 100% set. Sort of like how a good psychic can predict an event that does not happen. Maybe we averted it knowing about it in advance, or some kind of butterfly effect changed the outcome. Knowing the day I was going to die would possibly allow me to alter things and then not die that day, so would the answer even be worth it? I will ask anyway
